Re: Best resource on airliner systems
Don't worry. In most other countries you go from 172 to 737.
Put in 60% or greater effort into ground school and you will pass no problem.
They don't intend to pay for your training just to wash you out.
Just the other day I was speaking to a nice old AC captain who did not graduate from high school.

Re: Can I get a job in Canada?
There are some carriers like EVAS that sponsor foreign pilots. You don't necessarily need a sponsor to immigrate though. See e.g. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html How exactly di...

Did some research on this "JS".
Perhaps he's not actually such a bad guy: viewtopic.php?t=6440
Not sure why he has 5 different accounts here though.
I can't tell if he's trolling or genuinely believes in what he's saying.

What's happening to the AC Express 1900s?
Seems like they're being stripped of the AC Livery.
Are they being phased out?

Let's find out who the scabs are. Do not let a scab in your jump seat. Do not befriend a scab. Tell every scab you ...

WJ Scab List
Back in the U.S. in the 80's and 90's, when airline pilots jumped the queue and applied to airlines while their pilots were undergoing a labour dispute, they were called "scabs". There is one such list of 6,000 individuals who took advantage of an ongoing labour dispute to further their own careers,...

Not at all. If anything, we could use more people like you!

Re: The importance of having a degree
If your reading comprehension was above grade eight and you could do basic math you would have a fairly good idea when I entered the industry by understanding what you are reading.....so here try again. Just because you were employed for "X" amount of years as a pilot does not mean that you began i...

Re: The importance of having a degree
Well confusedalot I managed to do quite well as a pilot with only grade eight. I flew for a living for fifty one years and as the years passed and my flying experience increased so did my earning capacity increase. I do not recall ever being asked how much education I had and I worked for some of t...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Let's not get carried away here. We've all had those thoughts. I'm sure most of us have either jokingly, or in the heat of the moment, threatened another person at sometime or another in our lives. Our colleague here was, unfortunately, dumb enough to put these thoughts in writing, in a medium that ...
