New info regarding expiry
I had recently passed the initial online test and sent an email about my region choices. In the automated reply email there seemed to be new info regarding the expiry of applications. See exerpt: "Candidates will be notified by email if they are selected to move forward to the next stage of the sele...

Re: In Person Test and In Person Assessment
So it seems Nav Canada finally updated their website to show a change in the recruitment tests. This is what they now have on their site. IN PERSON TEST When there is a need for students in a region, those who performed well at the previous stages will be invited to an in-person assessment. Though ...

Do Not Move Forward

EDIT: i'm just purely guessing, i am a current IFR YYZ trainee, not a NAV HR person your best bet would be to contact someone if you need more clarification

Re: The odds of making it
Do you know of anyone who makes it after failing feast the first time? I write tomorrow. My kid broke her arm and had emergency surgery with a plate and pins put in. I've spent half the week on a hospital chair and the other half up most of the night with her. I'm a little nervous about writing tom...

Re: The odds of making it
i was in the first feast session in YYZ in april 2018, they took 250 people over 10 different days, and kept the top 30 people (entirely computer scored) and invited them to the 2-day bootcamp, from there it was for a training class of 12 IFR plus a couple VFR. but once at that stage its a little le...

Re: Background check
as far as i remember there was no credit report check in the traditional sense of the word, they do pull a credit report but its strictly for identity verification purposes.
they do 7 years of work/eduction/address history, and call two references.

Re: Ita exam questions
i was being hyberbolic, my quotation marks were obviously sarcastic and exaggerative  to say "material on the ITA is fair game for the ITA test" is quite unhelpful is all i was implying, its a 100 hour course, its obviously impossible to have the entire thing memorized for a 200 question test. ...

Re: Ita exam questions
Ah haha, after seeing so much about how much there is to memorize, I was expecting thousands or even tens of thousands. Good to see it's "only" 350+. Haha. haha well those are just terms/abbreviations, there will obviously still be a boat (plane?)-load of rules, regulations, situations, definitions...

Re: Ita exam questions

There are a ton and I wonder if I can narrow them down instead of even small towns in Canada. hey man (again haha), im starting the cours...

Hi all, just to confirm, we check our status of application through the Workday platform, correct? I found a Connexion login site but I can't log in with my Workday account info and I don't see an option to sign up. Thanks! https://navcanada.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/ATS_Career/job/National/Air-T...

Re: YVR IFR course offers?
The offer will take a while. If your status on the new website says "offer," then you are just waiting for the paperwork. Also, lucky you haha. Plenty of time to prepare for your ITA and training. On a side note, how long does it take to get the medical and security clearance once you submit the pa...

Re: YVR IFR course offers?
Hey, did you get the offer through the new recruitment site? I have an offer for the March YYZ IFR course, but on the site it just says status "offer" and under next steps it just says "next steps". Just wondering when/how I'll get the actual offer letter and other info etc. I've had my medical, bac...

Re: YYZ Assessments Dec 11-13, 2017
So I turned down the 2 day assessment for November, I don't want to take the 2 days off so soon after starting my new job. Conor said he'll keep me on the eligibility list for next time, although I have no idea what that means. There's always next time anyways, I don't think my capabilities...

Re: YYZ Fall 2018 Assessments
It is not a pass rate. You may not get selected for whatever the intake this period is but you can still get selected next round assuming you passed FEAST. Let's make an extreme hypothetical example, No Glitches, No Cheating involved, just a statistical anomaly. 240/250 people scored perfect on FEA...

Re: YYZ Fall 2018 Assessments
I wrote Sept. 17 as well. I've been invited to the 15/16th bootcamp. Really thought I bombed that FEAST test, to be honest. They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel  Haha I thought the same thing, (I wrote it in April) but you don't have to think that, it's 100% computer scored and onl...

Re: Question about placement
from what i know, youve got it about right yes. operational needs can change quickly and unpredictably sometimes so for VFR/FSS i dont think you know until ready for OJT. IFR however, you will know by default right from a training offer that you will always be working out of that particular ACC from...
