Re: A "NEW" One List?
The one list wasfor flow to be hired at Mainline. No bumping positions up or down. Too expensive for the company, not gonna be an option.
Re: One list
How can there be a one list for two separate companies. Unions are paid to protect their members. A one list does not do that. It's awful how this has all gone down but I just don't see how this could ever survive without at least the common employer status. Not everyone who voted no cared about th...
Re: One list
Maybe Encore will get a retention bonus now like Porter. Stay for 3 years get 50K.
Re: One list
Sorry to all the Encore folks. Look on the bright side at least you still have a guaranteed job at mainline with flow and the top up pay which helps big time on the first two years. All in all its still not that bad when you think about it from that perspective. Your career progression is still inta...
Re: One list
So the 4 guys can go screw themselves and wait 13 years to upgrade while another full company goes through, who is not on the contract and not a member of said union. Alot to ask dont ya think? Yes! They can go screw themselves. They knew when they signed up that they'd be bottom of the list. Curre...
Re: One list
You didn't read my post close enough. One you organize and unionize everything is RENEGOTIATED. The one list does not exist until union members vote.
I'm sure you can understand now.

Re: One list
I get it you want flow and seniority and top up pay too. Thats great that you want all thoses things. You were able to negotiate all thoses things in your latest contract except seniority. Once you organize all that you once had needed to be negotiated again. Now Mainline has their own contract and ...

No more like recovering at first sign of a stall which usually occurs at 65kts. It
can be either an audible warning or a buffet.

Check out Fugro and Sanders they both are in Ottawa. Survey companies that require rotations
all over the world. They pay pretty good for a captains pos.

Re: The Flight Test Pressure mounts.
If you could get your hands on a book called flight test notes, that's what I always used
for Comm and Priv, and found it worked really well in prep for the big day. Being well
prepared makes the flight test just a show for the examiner.

Another glossy program aimed at attracting prospective pilots to spend huge cash and then realize that they could have done without it and done it themselves at the local flight school. Perspective employers are gonna look and see, does this person have all their ratings, ok now what experience do t...

Re: should I take algonquin program (ofc)???
It is not my intention to plug Ottawa Aviation Services and to trash the program at OFC. Just simply offering another option which may he may not have been aware of. As for the OFC program, im not sure of its overall value but it seems overpriced in my opinion and to fly old 150s for a couse price o...

Re: should I take algonquin program (ofc)???
Go check out Ottawa Aviation Services, they are next to OFC. Going over
there you may notice newer and more choice of aircraft. You may even save
yourself 20 grand if you train there. Aviation diploma is virtually useless.
