Re: Canadian vs American Maintenance

Go for it, great experience. Pay may be a bit less but so are the taxes. Don't worry about your AME Lic. Just show up before expiry and pay your dough. I have never been questioned.

Re: PRM Questions

PRM (Person Responsible for Maintenance) aka DOM (Director of Maintenance) Your are the one that carries all responsibilities for maintenance and will held accountable for answers if and when the shit hits the fan, so hopefully you have broad shoulders. Not a job for the faint of heart, but then aga...

Do you have a print shop close where you are? If you do, then draw up what you want plus colour and they should be able to help you.

Being an AME, this forum and others, keep us in the "Know" of the outside world. I am not in favor of censorship and immediately had a suspicion someone, ...

Looks to me an AD should be implemented not just general information. I,m not a Twin Otter AME but I can say if we had cable problems on a Boeing you can bet your ass Boeing and the FAA would have us changing cables or performing inspections at specific intervals.

Seems like nowadays we do too much of it. A case in point is when you have some very "minor" frost on the spoiler panels and the r...
