Re: Water rudder retract springs

Try contacting Kenmore , parts 1 800 423 5526. Kenmore has lots of EDO parts !
or email edo@kenmoreair.com
Water Rudder spring is a pretty common part , part number 36936

some of their parts are reasonably priced, and they will put stuff in the mail to Canada, to save shipping costs.

Re: Fuel Selector Valve Incident

I wonder if this fuel selector issue is why Cessna made the 185s with no fuel selector,
and a fuel selector an option.

They're grounded, because they've likely received fuel produced at Esso's Edmonton refinery. The instruction from Esso is to immediately quarantine all suspect fuel - as use of it is prohibited due to the conductivity issues. Curious, where you found , “ as use of it is prohibited due to conductivi...

EC,
Electrical Conductivity readings will go up if there is water in the fuel,
but I suspect that ethanol would do the same thing.

Re: Ferry Tank Requirements / Regulations

Buy a Javelin tank, and re-install it.
That will give you 17 gallons ?
Which for an 0-470 will give you 1.3 hrs fuel.

Re: Cargo North (North Star Air) Crashes DC3 in PickleLake

No you are incorrect. ALL stake holders, and potentially the public, have a right to know, as lives and property could potentially at risk,as a result of any accident. Groundings of aircraft happen , AD's are issued, safety alerts are published, at times as a result of an accident long before the TS...

CF- NJE , my Dad ferried it from Fort Chimo CYVP , to Calgary , when Survair owned in around 1977 ish. A wing float was knocked off , during a "fly by" at a camp. They removed the other float and put it and the damaged one inside the cabin, for the ferry. Field Aviation in CYYC did the repairs on it...

This is part of the problem with the Air Canada culture. No one will take responsibility. The company management needs t...
