Looks like the plane was based at Brampton Airport. Registered to the owner since July 2023. Sad to hear it turned tragic especially when he flew directly over Tune at 2500'.

Now stop fighting me and your cognitive dissonance and start fighting the perps. Get involved. Still waiting for that Transport Canada phone number you mentioned. lol I see you tipped them off because the message had been changed. I guess the cover up continues. No worries, we are exposing them…and...

Re: Aviation medicals are requiring extra testing
Recorded message on Transport Canada Medical phone line states outright that they are experiencing higher than normal delays in medical certificate issuances due to extra testing required. I wonder why that is....  :thinkingbig: :wallbash: Please provide the medical phone line number ...

Quite a few videos going around of the helicopter going down. Amazing to read that anyone survived at all.

Re: Shouldn't have been sent solo...
You'd think having the student high with a bit too much power on a 4200' runway would be more ideal than low and slow where she could potentially stall out or sink too rapidly. There's trees at the approach ends of all 4 runways with 30 being the closest after 23.

Re: piper pa32 crashed last night near kananaskis village
This sad and ghastly affair is such a case. So was that one up by Grand Prairie where the guy takes off at night, in snow showers, in an R44, and kills himself, his wife, and two children. Who in the name of Christ goes flying a frigging Robbie, at night, over unlit and featureless terrain without ...

Any news on how the pilot is doing? Slamming straight down or even slightly inverted from that height had to do a lot of damage.

Re: How not to put your 172 in the hangar
It's so "AvCanada" that a student puts their airplane nose-first through the roof of a hangar, and the part of the analysis that generates the most controversy is how much fuel they had on board at the time. So we're not allowed to have a civil conversation regarding the quantity of fuel that was r...

45G of fuel doing circuits? I know the saying about the most useless things to a pilot but that's a mess load of circuits. Good to hear the pilot only had minor injuries. Do you like refuelling before every flight instead of once or twice a day? Pretty standard at a lot of schools to start the day ...

Re: Flight Instructing as a hobby/side-gig
The largest issue with part time instructors is providing regular availability to the students. Especially the part time instructors that are close to or fully "retired". They tend to want to take more time off during summers, enjoy their weekends, etc... Makes it hard on a student who is trying to ...
