On that same note, I noticed FedEx is in the new recip j/s printout as well with full instructions about the procedure. I was under the impression there was no J/Sing at FedEx, just the deal on shipping things.

Re: Captain: " Sorry I am not qualified to land this airplane"

Would pax on the aircraft not have been aware that other aircraft were landing in the fog? If so, and he'd said he couldn't land due to weather, rather than due to his certification, would the pax not have become suspicious? First of all, they would not be aware of anything else going on. How could...

Re: Captain: " Sorry I am not qualified to land this airplane"

you do realize your basing your comments on the recollection of a passenger and not an actual transcript of the actual PA? Do you really think the actual PA at this point matters? The actual PA, whatever was said, is what spurred this whole media frenzy, so again I reiterate, whatever he/she said, ...

Re: Captain: " Sorry I am not qualified to land this airplane"

Just for the record, I am not commenting on his decision to abide by the regulations, of course he shouldn't have attempted to land without his ClassII cert. I am referring to the PA. What an embarrassment resulting from a mindless choice to tell the general public "I am not qualified to land the pl...

TFE731 do you Fly much? Yes. What would be better... we keep it a big secret that two people are working a four person job... would that be classy ? I said nothing about secrets but whining about it on an ATIS is not ethical. If you have a problem with your job, go to your superiors, and if you fee...

Re: Todays flow in Winnipeg Terminal=wow!

Listen, no disrespect, but do us all a favor and show a little class and stop putting the message that you're "short on staff" on your ATIS messages. First of all it doesn't belong on an ATIS and secondly it's humiliating.

Yes any pilot but within Canada only (thus far). The latter part of your statement applies as well re: skyserice/transat. Was having a chat regarding this with an ACPA MEC Chair and they are not sure if we must wait for a company directive before implementing this new exemption. His interpretation w...

No that's not it either but also good entertainment!

The part where he describes how he would airbrush the side of that black van was priceless. Growing up, a guy few houses down had a van painted almost exactly as he describes!

Canadian Redneck TV Show

After extensive searching I cannot find the name of this show that I recall. About 1 1/2 to 2yrs ago there was a tv show on a Canadian network and it was somewhat of a reality show about these rednecks in some rural area in Ontario. Does anyone at all recall the name of the show? It was absolutely g...

Greetings, Just to clear up some misconceptions, you cannot get hired into the right seat of the B777.
