Re: Central Mountain Air weekly job ad...
CMA regularly posts jobs ads to keep the closet full of resumes and because at this point in time, there is a need to fill some seats. Some folks on the 1900 will be going on to the Dash 8’s - creating some openings on the 1900. Once the 737 Max’s are back online and the hiring starts again at AC a...

Re: Central Mountain Air weekly job ad...
Ok so here's what i've gathered from all the different posts - They are severely short on pilots - They are disorganized - They pay relatively low compared to the competition - They have perfect candidates in dispatch, yet they still can't/don't fill the FO positions because the high turnover makes ...

Re: Will we ever stop shooting ourselves in the foot?
Umm calm down Nancy it’s just supply and demand, and here in Canada we still have a huge supply, for now at least. I hear the same story that we have plenty of supply, yet central mountain air is posting the same job ad every 2 weeks as I pointed out in this thread http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/vi...

Central Mountain Air weekly job ad...
Just thought i'd point this out... CMA has been constantly posting a job ad every 1 to 3 weeks for the last couple months. I can only imagine that the job section gets filled quite quickly so ads get deleted eventually, meaning CMA has been posting at a constant rate for a while now https://i.postim...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
So i'm sorry that not everyone is within your realm of standards from the 1960s... times have changed but clearly your mentality hasn't and if that makes us all a bunch of entitled snowflakes I say you can go pound sand That is real class. I was flying commercially in the sixties and it was really ...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
Come on cupcakes. It's not sad, it's not tough. You can get your AAs in cracker jack box now and be a 705 captain making 6 figures or close to it, or a mainline FO within five years of the ink drying on your CPL (if those are your goals.) The last info I have on AC is a bit old, but started at over...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
I'm kind of in a similar position with deciding where my career should go. As a regional FO with 1800 hours and a Bachelors degree I think I have a competitive resume for AC but I am not sure if I want to spend another 5 years (I'm already 4 years in) being broke and not being able to provide for m...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
already lost enough time writing those 2 other posts when I knew I shouldn't have even opened up the subject I agree with a lot of things you say. But I find it ironic that you are “losing time” by writing posts when really you are losing time by not finding a quicker job. You’re losing time while ...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
Oh my god LaGuardia, all this talk of "suffering" and "accepting my fate" and you've not even started your career. I'm sorry, but just because you don't feel like you're acting entitled doesn't mean you aren't. Look, there are at least a couple of currently incontrovertible realities about starting...

Re: Where is this so called shortage
I started this topic mainly to talk about these misleading articles and I realize I should've explained my self better, although I did anticipate all the backlash. News articles talking about pilot shortages will continue to exist for a long time to come because the people writing them probably don'...

Where is this so called shortage
Long time lurker and I just couldn't help myself and decided to make an account and ask a question regarding this article https://www.pilotcareercentre.com/Aviation-Pilot-Recruitment-News-Item/8299/Canada-faces-severe-shortage-of-pilots-and-aircraft-workers Where on earth is this shortage and upcomi...
