What if the certificate is issued by a state organisation i.e. Transport Canada. The certification becomes a requirement by law, i.e. CARS.

ACJ desperate for dispatchers?
Today's ad on the workopolis is the 5th within a 6 months period. Someone hijacked all their dispatchers. Perhaps someone may enlighten me.

Thanks mate. Those links will keep me occupied for the night. It is a type B ops. And I am new in this dispatcher business, and fairly new to Canadian aviation. It's already stretching my past experiences and knowledge (mostly ATC) to the limit by the virtually non-existing training by this company....

It is a must for the company to provide training to dispatchers for new aircraft type. Couldn't find anything in the CARS except it only mentioned a transition training syllabus is to be submitted to TC for approval. I bought up the question with my ops manager and he just evaded it. Went to an interview with Porter today and came away extremely impressed. In comparison, my current company seemed very amateurish. It is going to be hard to drag myself to work from now on.
