Re: BCAS helicopter pilots have some splaining to do
That is the stupidest confined area error imaginable. This stuff is entry level training, the pilot and co-pilot should be grounded and sent back to flight school.

Unless they can justify speaking French as "genuine and directly related to the performance of the job" they are likely in contravention of the Ontario Human Rights Code. So anyone who does not speak French should apply anyway. Just looked at the ad. Questions regarding Canadian Citizenship or Lande...

Re: In Flight Engine Shutdown
I have a question. Is there a procedure in the POH or any other manufacturer provided document for, not only a restart in flight, but a shutdown in flight for the aircraft in question? If not aren’t you now operating the aircraft outside of it’s tested and certified envelope? If so doesn’t this make...

If you want someone to stay for three years make the pay and working conditions such that they want to stay for three years. Anything else is just folly and will not work no matter how many pieces of paper you have signed.

Re: Received my license today - What the hell man?!
G5 the thing about this new license is the fact that there are far more important issues the regulator could invest our money in than forcing that hideous abortion on us. If a new format is needed why did they not produce a credit card size license with all the info on a magnetic stripe and use mod...

Re: The Future . . . is here.
There is a common misconception being made here about the abilities of current computer technology. Whilst there are some experimental computers that can learn, we are still a long way from a computer that can make a decision. Any decision any currently available computer appears to make has in fact...

Why divert? No RCMP in Fort McMurray or is stealing beer not illegal in Fort McMurray?

Ogee and The Mole, clearly neither of you have any idea what you are talking about. The R22 is a tried and proven machine and if you had ever piloted one you would know it does indeed have (relatively) plenty of power and to try to make the case that 47 is a better machine on any level, well what ca...

Re: A Toyota Prius causes more enviromental impact than a Hummer
Whilst, so called, hybrid vehicles may provide a test bed for new technological developments, the use of the term hybrid is a misnomer and nothing more than marketing hype. So called hybrid vehicles rely on one source of fuel, namely gas (petroleum spirit) whilst arguable more efficient than a conve...
