Black hole effect was more an arrival thing I always thought... having done lots of that kind of flying up north. Unless you have an instrument failure then how is it really a thing on departure?

Re: Jump Pilot or Aerial Photo Pilot?
I am concerned about leaving the Skydive position I just started since I don't want to have a bad reputation of jumping from one job to another. You answered your own question... be grateful they took a gamble on you and trained you up as a 250TTer... well unless it's Joe Chow and YOU paid to get t...

Ummm how about you try sending it to the US of A, crybaby. Think out side the box much? Or yeah take it to a general electronics repair shop... your 5 year warranty is long gone... funny how you're bitchin about this lil fray issue after ten years of use! 10 years! Re: Logging cruise relief time outside of Canada
You should of become an accountant! All your decision making seems to be quantitative based. Do you really have a passion to fly? Honestly, skip instructing and go work the ramp for a year... just like flat pay at AC, it's a means to an end... suck it up.

Re: Logging cruise relief time outside of Canada
Alright bud... if you're getting overlooked in Canada in this hiring climate, I wouldn't hold my breath for Crappay Pacific... 90k in HK is no better than 37k in Canada. Go ahead and try it... but minimum 7 years in HK to finally get your first 2000TT is pathetic... then what? Realize HK for the res...

Re: Logging cruise relief time outside of Canada
Yeah it's a great idea if you don't mind being an indentured servant to CrapPay Pacific. The T&C at Cathay are absolute sh!te. You log some made-up useless P2X hours for years before you get to go right seat on a 777 with minimal real flying skills. Don't sell your career short bud. If you are canad...

Re: Seneca College Airline Pilot Flight Operations Diploma
You got stats on how many of these students from that 8-month airline ops @ seneca course go on to flow through to 705 ops with their 250tt? Just seems like you're pitching this as a total flow through program? Don't be getting kids' hopes up L39. I got a paper degree from an aviation university som...

Re: Seneca College Airline Pilot Flight Operations Diploma
Sure seems to be less emphasis on hands and feet skills these days... now Jazz has 1000TT system operators that don't know how to land a plane in marginal wind conditions hehe.. i say again.. 100 hours in a sim and no type rating out of it is a money grab! Might as well go out there and get a flight...

Are you kidding me? An 8 month diploma! Ever heard the saying GO BIG OR GO HOME? You should atleast come out with a dash type rating after this...
