Re: TWA Captain's radio manners

There's a reason why the Captain in question is still flying a Saab in Northern Saskatchewan! Its not often you buy an airplane from another company and the pilot comes with it.

I have alot of respect for kids that put there time in for Buffalo Joe and get a shot at the greasy 3. Kinda drivers we like to hire down the road when they are ready to come south.

There are very few low time Beech 99's in Canada Let alone North America these days. The 2 nicest 99's in Canada are operating in northern Saskatchewan.

If those are the same pieces of junk that Cree Lake Lodge used to operate I would stay well away. They had there OC pulled a few years back for a reason.

Well said, I guess if you want to fly a navajo and its in a good location fill your socks. But I was just getting at how the requirements are pretty excessive for that type of machine

PRO FLIGHT?

I was just browsing the PCC website and stumbled across a pro-flight add. What a joke 3000tt and 1000 multi to fly a navajo. I dont know anyone in there right mind who would be looking at a VFR navajo job with that kinda time. There are 22 year old guys and gals flying navajo's in northern alberta a...

Tell them to go and pound salt! A checkout in a buck 82 isn't worth a grand and if they need pilots they shouldn't be charging them to fly.
