Pilot requested to descend? Very strange for test-pilot with such experience.

Huge tragedy... could they survive if they were descending horizontally?

Read some comments, no surprise Poles started blaming Russians for this crash.

Re: Polish Pesident Dies in Crash

Taking into account Russia-Poland relations, I hope the investigation does not go into political battle and blaming each other ...... strange that they did not divert to Minsk or Moscow... do you really think they were under such pressure that they decided to risk lives? There must be something more...

Before I go for Nav tests, I would like to see what it is like working there. May be I won't like it, why would I take somebody's place who really likes it. But it sounds like it is quite difficult, to get to see it. But Nav Canada recommends to check it out. What is CFS?

I feel all right about other parts, but this one scared me. But it is not that bad, I thought I would have to remember the sequences and then to pick two identical. Thanks it is not like that.

Some of the senior guys with a lot of OT are grossing 160 - 210k a year. It's easy to break 100-120k your first year if you work a lot of OT. The only way I could foresee someone breaking the $150k-$160k mark would be a supervisor who practically lives at work. Anything beyond that is out of the qu...

The tests are likely graded on both accuracy and completeness. You would probably be penalized for wrong answers, so if you don't know, don't guess. But don't waste time on a question that you can't solve quickly, skip it and come back to it later. In the audio checking portion (where they play a t...

Avi8tor, look at my posts. Where did you see that I wanted to go to the airforce. I post it just in case somebody was interested. In fact I never dreamed about any military jobs. And everything what I said is based on facts too, I have few friends who are military pilots. Yes I could have forgotten ...

You know, there are other ways of serving your country, than just trying to scam free training to fast-track to the airlines. Those who "dreamed" of serving in the forces since childhood still can. Oh, and you do realize that even if you "get in" as a pilot, it is still entirely possible to wash ou...

How old are you? I suspect you are quite a young guy. In my opinion just get yourself together and continue. As you know you will fly - one day. But what you can do, just set up the time frame for yourself and try to save some money. If nothing happens during this period, then move on.

If sombody gets booted then at least he get free training. From what I heard, airlines would be waiting. They like hiring military pilots. But it is not for me anyways, I don't like orders and I am in the same boat visionwise.

No, Airliner, I am not sure yet, I have to see how the medical goes, I will talk to the bank and see from there. If I get into it I know it is not going to be a bed of roses and I am ready for it. As I mentioned one thing that worries me is the age, and it tends to work against. When I spoke to AC p...

so your saying in military transport type a/c you pull more g's than say civilian type transport a/c.... Honestly I don't know. But this is their requirements. I agree that they should differ the requirements, especially vision, as 80% of the population wear glasses or contacts. If your vision is n...

As far as I know, from what I read, retina is very fragile after an operation and can come off in extreme conditions. It is especially related to G-forces. It will last forever in normal life.

Thank you Triple Romeo.

I have checked this already. No grants or money for flying, no way. I am working evenings, still editing and looking for new opportunities.
