It's been a while since this NOTAM was issued but, make me wonder if the AVGAS issue played a hand here.

Flying standby with kids is entirely possible. You just have to be more strategic/flexible with your plans. I was with Jazz for eight years. In those, my kids (now 10 & 11) have been on the Great Wall, seen Hong Kong, walked around the Pyramids of Giza and traveled through Eastern Europe to Turkey. ...

When the TSB is done (and I think they are) with the airplane, they should gift that propeller to Ms. Kurylo. I know I would want to mount that on my wall.

Flight Attendant Announcements
Flew from Las Vegas to Calgary last night. I never knew that WestJet flight attendants talked so much over the PA system. From the safety directions in a poorly done Scottish accent, to why the crew were wearing fake mustaches and that thankfully she found out who stole her hamburger. It all comes a...

Chris Hadfield, not just another Rocket Scientist
Three pluses here: -Another feather in Ed Robertson’s hat -Chris Hadfield is such a great ambassador for Canada, and sounds like Gordon Lightfoot! -And…CBC, for producing something that we can all be proud of! Rather than giving this guy $12k cash, it should be given to him in Aeroplan points.
This way he can enjoy Air Canada's fine service even more!
Heck he can even have a 7up on me

Lots of room in a Dash 8 for a flight bag. Personally I carry one of those Swiss rollar bags that Costco carries. Works great and keeps all my Jepp amendments handy. I'll get to them one day
Seriously...get a rollar bag.

I imagine that it has something to do with reliable satellite reception in the valleys. Coupled with the fact when you’re coming in from the North East to go over the airport, you are pointed straight at a mountain ridge.

The RNAV has minimums down to 2900 & 3, because we're circling, company policy has us up this a hundred feet and a mile, to 3000 & 4. There is also a movement with many of us to NOT fly the RNAV approach with our Dash 8s with only one FMS (we have it display the TAWS information), which leaves us fl...

Re: HTML Coding Firefox & IE Compatability
Hey,
As far as I can tell, if you remove the 'position:relative' from the footer style your footer will move back under your container DIV.
IE doesn't give much merit to background images in DIVs so if you'd like to have all four displayed you'll have to give the DIV a height
