The Arrow was sold last year. Good aircraft, quite enjoyed flying her.

Re: Garmin aera 500 GPS
I bought one in June and love it. Even inside my house I can get satellite reception. The battery will hold a charge for approx 3 hours, but I use the cigarette lighter in the plane or car when I use it. The only negative I have is that if you want to charge it with a USB charger, you have to take t...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
Why that's preposterous. Obviously Truthteller and Marhamresident are the same person according to biz jets and others. You have it all wrong. :smt040 You seem smarter than all the others. I would caution you to look at the discussions here and have your common sense guide you. Are you really going...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
You either don't fly or don't know where Richmond Hill is. Loop and circuit, whatever dude is that the best you got? You are a waste of bandwidth.... if you don't know the difference between a loop and a circuit, you should leave this board and go back to your colouring book. I certainly do fly and...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
Buttonville isn't going to close for a couple of years at least. You can certainly start and complete your training in that amount of time. If you start at YKZ and it closes, you can go to Toronto Island (Billy Bishop), Brampton, Oshawa or Lake Simcoe Regional (Barrie area). There are plenty of oth...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
I'm interested in getting pilots licence, but reading this forum I'm wondering where to go. I live in Unionville so Buttonville makes sense, but now since it is closing I was thinking Markham????? Can anyone tell me what would happen if I start at Buttonville and then it closes? Buttonville isn't g...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
As to the right handed loop off 15, you guys have proven my point. The standard left loop was changed to a right loop for noise abatement to protect the Markham residents. Meanwhile all they do is fly over Richmond Hill and move the problem. This is why I'm saying and you're just confirming that Ma...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
Respond to this...why doesn't ckyz allow a standard left handed circuit flying out southbound smart ass. If your planes didn't make noise Markham would have no issue letting them fly over their residents. Instead Buttonville sends them the other way. Yeah, yeah we know TC handles this but when you ...

I'm suggesting to AvCanada mods that your posts be removed - and you be either kicked off these boards or at the least suspended. As for your slanderous statements on Buttonville, it's owners, and their operations - are definitely worthy of a defamation of character lawsuit - which unfortunately ma...

Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ

Then ...

Buddy, your a funny guy!!! Word on the street!!, is your neither a pilot or aircraft owner. I call BS!! Re: Buttonville Airport . . . CYKZ
Sounds to me that MarkhamResident was probably refused a job by the Sifton's and this is his way of getting back at them. Pretty sad indeed. Just to add fuel to the fire... how many major companies relocated their offices nearby Buttonville in order to access the airport for their private aircraft? ...

Re: Night Rating
Hedley, You've given some very good information. Thanks. One question though, and this I found confusing during my night training. The definition of night is 1/2 hr after sunset. It was at this point that we were told to start the aircraft engine in order to be in true night conditions and have T/O ...

Re: Now Springwater Airpark in Barrie for sale?
Niss,
I took a look at the Google Map and it's just at the end of Anne St. A lot of housing in that area. I would think that a housing developer would like to buy up that parcel of land and plant houses there for the Toronto commuters. At 3.5 mill, not a lot of money for a lot of housing.

Now Springwater Airpark in Barrie for sale?
I just did a google search and found that the Springwater Airpark (CNA3) in Barrie is for sale. Asking price 3.5 mill. http://www.forsaleforlease.ca/listing.php?id=6357 Another ready for redevelopment? Options in the GTA are getting less and less for GA. Is there no stopping the downward spiral? :(

What happend in GA on Sept 11 2001?
I was flying for my $100 hamburger run on Saturday, when my wife asked me what happened to Canadian GA aircraft in the air on the day of the attack. I thought about it a while and wondered if pilots returned to their airport of origin or simply diverted to the nearest airport and made arrangements t...

Re: Scared the shit out of myself last night, what's the les
Niss, I've flown a Warrior II - 151 and 161, Archer and Arrow out of YKZ. One of the first things I was told by my instructor was as BPF said if you bounce - go around. This has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. I've been in a situation where I 'floated' for an exorbitant amount of time and ...
