Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
Yes very true, we dont need an ACPA 2.0. My great big idea was only paying us based on our yos at jazz. i.e 2 years at jazz, you go to year 3 on the AC payscale but bottom of the list for everything else. Its useless to dream up these ideas though, as someone said above we got f*cked over, gotta fin...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
At the very least.... I would like to be paid for my time flying AC passengers, in AC an uniform, in an airplane that has AC written on the side of it...paid based on your doh at Jazz would help me feel like this wasn't the biggest career mistake ever.

Re: Negotiations
I know AC doesn’t care about jazz and probably sees us as a hot mess but I’m hopeful we will get something for this. You have to go back to the root of the issue. Air Canada did not choose to ignore Jazz pilots and fill new hire classes with “outsiders” … Jazz could not release them. It’s my opinio...

Re: Maybe we should work together?
Dozens have left Jazz for other airlines, then successfully come to AC as OTS. This is a lie and they are incapable of exacting such petty revenge in the current market. Vacate Jazz immediately. Don't you think someone has a wee little black book somewhere? Help your fellow pilots out, reach out to...

Re: Maybe we should work together?
I guess my intentions with the initial post were vague and to be honest I don’t have a great many ideas of how we can start working together, only that I hope we find some. I hope to one day leave this industry better then when I found it, a big grand gesture I know… My opinion, for what it’s worth...

Perimeter. Better pay, working conditions, union, progression the list goes on. Probably less pressure from the CP or the owner to do sketchy shit at perimeter too.

Maybe we should work together?
Before I get blasted out of the sky with this hot take, maybe let’s take a moment to think about how both AC mainline pilots and Jazz pilots share a common “enemy”. Both groups are dealing with the same bean counters that refuse to recognize that the times have changed. Yes, we are different compani...

Re: Negotiations
lol there better be.. how much longer do we accept a MEC that isn’t producing result during the one of the greatest periods of pilot leverage this industry has ever seen. Can't force the company to pay more. But obviously things aren't working so great for them either. We will get 1 of 3 updates. E...

Re: 312 flights cancelled in the last 4 days.
Apprently AC is in the process of giving 120 Jazz pilots a gs date starting in September. Seems like a bit of a last ditch effort to keep people on property... but it won't stop those leaving for WJ as they never planned on going to AC. YYC domiciled pilots will depart for WJ. Younger YVR pilots pr...
