2nd interview?

Anyone ever get called after not passing the interview the first time? Email mentioned “as such, we will be contacting you to schedule a second interview (with the possibility of a secondary psychological evaluation and/or secondary pre-employment medical) when we are able to do so”. Is this realist...

Re: Interview

Doesn't look like the question about experience levels was answered. Any idea what the level of experience is in the new classes? (And yes I have a pulse, I think  ). One of my colleagues just got in with 2500 Hrs and ATPL. But he just mentioned someone with 2000hrs he knows was placed in pool...

Re: PASCO

Any updates on here? Did anything change in regards to the workplace environment/pay within the past 6 months with all the regionals hiring?
Thanks!

Living near YVR

Can anyone who live near YVR give an input on the ideal FO income to live around the area? Take home pay vs cost of living.
I’m looking to live in Richmond to cut some transportation costs.

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Assuming that hiring will happen next year (based on the other topic on this forum), what chances does a Class 1 Flight instructor with 2000+ hrs Multi IFR rated and ATPL have in applying for Jazz then? Should I apply for other regionals and build more multi two crew experience, or stick with instru...

Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Good day, All the judgement and hate against instructors aside, I would like to know the current updates on this topic? What are the chances of applying as a 1000TT instructor? If accepted, is there a choice between flying the RJ vs Q400 or do low time pilots start at Q400 and upgrade? Or you just h...

Re: Jazz or CargoJet?

Good day, Can anyone provide any current info on Cargo Jet? I am interested in applying in the near future. Did they improve their schedules/pay? Are they hiring bare minimums? Their job ad seems pretty vague. Is there a training bond for the 767 type rating? 1500 TT seems quite low so I’m guessing ...

Re: Working overseas as a Canadian Pilot

Some good advices above! Thanks guys. Really helps with the research. Most people look at the high paying jet contracts, but they neglect why some jobs are so high paying in the first place. Most of the Asian countries tend to prefer hiring their own locals, but look beyond the boundaries of their b...

Re: Working overseas as a Canadian Pilot

I think it’s good to look outside Canada for other options in the industry. Going overseas does require some marketable time so maybe keep pursuing a career in Canada while looking abroad. Once you get established here and have a bit of experience, you are in a good position to stay or further expl...

Working overseas as a Canadian Pilot

Hi there! New here but a long time lurker. I've been reading quite a few threads about working overseas vs staying here, and there seems to be only good comments from working overseas (salary, livability, etc.) Little bit of a background, I've been instructing for ~2 months now and I'm enjoying it! ...
