Re: Socialized bidding

The system tries to attain the highest satisfaction score. Your highest priority bid is worth the most amount of points, and tapers down to the least amount. If you have a bid avoiding reserve and it’s worth 1,000 points, the systems receives 1,000 points if satisfies your request. If you get reserv...

References were called last week, status is still showing the pre-employment conditions. Process has been very quick othe...

Didn't know they were still doing the hirevue interviews. I got a request for a face to face for my first interview.

Updated Hiring Timelines?

Any recent hiring timelines?
References were called last week, status is still showing the pre-employment conditions. Process has been very quick otherwise.

Re: Kbm.wages

That instructor wage is definitely more than fair. I don't think the salary is insanely off base, but there is certainly better options out there. When you consider they want you in the office working when you aren't flying, relocation to Thunder Bay, singles your first year and multi-pic your secon...

Re: How hard is it to get the first job after cpl

Can't say what the float or instructing landscape looks like, as I have no experience there. But it wasn't the easiest thing to get my first job when things were on the up. Can't really recall seeing many, if any, entry level jobs the last few months. If you're willing to work a ramp, and stay the c...

Re: Resume/Cover letter tips-templates?

Browse through resumes on the hire me section. Take different things you like from good resumes and make your own appealing template or pay a graphic designer $50 to make it for you if you aren't savvy with word. Just make sure you have your hours FIRST thing on the resume in an easy to read way, in...

Re: PASCO Postings

Likely they like lots of other operations are having lots of trouble adjusting to the fact that Jazz and Encore are accepting people they would have previously rejected. Who wants to work at Pasco when they qualify for Flair? I'm just genuinely curious who they are hiring if not people who meet the...

Re: Buffalo Pay Scale

Because it’s not under 40k when flying ? Did you not catch the mileage pay ? Do some math even on the low end of annual hours on a king air and convert to mileage. I think the industry is broken just as much as anyone else, but when you do the math this job is literally paying more than 80% of other...

Re: Buffalo Pay Scale

I don't quite understand the negative comments. I got offered this job years ago and the pay scale quoted above is accurate. If you do the calculation you're likely to make 45-50k a year if you're flying full time pilot hours, and then get 10k from the gov for nothern living I believe? May just be s...

Wrote a couple months ago, some questions I remember: 1. Balanced field. 2. Know runway defs i.e. tora, toda, clearway, stopway, etc etc. 3. Define critical mach. 4. What is viscous hydroplaning. 5. When must PIC wear an oxygen mask. 6. You're at 14,000ft on an ifr flight plan, you have a comms fail...

How many hours do you have? Most coming into YXE are 850-1500 hours.I’m sure YVC is a couple hundred lower due to location. As far as I know, hiring is still on going. Like anywhere, if the postings are up, there is still spots to fill. Things take time, patience goes a long way! That’s as much as I ...

Re: Average time to hear back once you've applied?

Day I finished flight school I applied to pretty well every operator I could find. Went 3 months not hearing a thing and then randomly got 3 offers in a week followed by another 2 in the next 2 weeks. Timing can be strange I guess.

Re: Carson Air

They are getting plenty qualified candidates applying, so it's mind boggling why they keep posting the same ads every week. Last I head FO pay was low 30's with an 18 month bond. Same split duty day, as with most cargo jobs. Really? If they were “getting plenty of qualified applying” Why are they n...

A bond, 12 or more hour duty days, and on call when you aren't working. All for low 30's from what I've heard, FO's anyway. What a joke lol. Please tell me pay has gone up significantly.

Re: Question about post secondary flight training and education

It is very possible, however there are many factors involved. I will not say common, but if your life turns around your training (I saw a student doing a practice exam in the waiting room as his wife was giving birth because his CPL exam was 2 days after!), it's possible. Most of the self-paced CPL...

Office Administrator Qualifications?

Hi all, just wondering if having 1000 hours in aircraft, 500 of those on a multi, and time on a pa31 is standard qualifications for an office administrator? Not entirely sure who would actually take this job, but Kasi aviation should be truly ashamed of themselves. What an absolute abomination to an...
