Re: Flair still searching for capital infusion

Not going to help those who have multiple offers on the table decode what to accept Is there going to be ground shcool in January and is it going to last to 2026 at least, that's tricky Don't mean to be rude, but you'd be out of your mind to consider Flair a career option. Air Transat considering 80-person layoff amid financial turbulence

"Transat A.T. Inc. is preparing to lay off up to 80 workers as the tour operator struggles to turn its finances around, according to a preliminary notice sent to the Quebec government. Over the course of the year, the company has felt the headwinds of stiff competition, engine recalls and the threat...

Re: TA

What is the difference in pay between AC and WJ after year 4? Say year 5 & 6? You do understand the flat pay issue, right? You know the history? You know the effect that it has had on thousands of AC pilots? And now (if hiring rumours are true) there will be 1000-1500 more as yet ‘unborn’ AC pilots...

Recalling of the NC makes no sense no matter if you are senior or jr, whether you will vote yes or no. Time is of the essence no matter which way you look at. Recalling and voting takes time. The group does not have this luxury.

Objectively, you're right we could be. I guess we will find out what the CiRB decides over the next day or so.

Just in Canada's Minister of Labour, Steven MacKinnon has directed the CIRB to order CN and CPKC resumption or work activities, binding Arbitration and extending the collective agreement. Latest PIT class started July 10, class of 20. Surprisingly it was mostly an experienced class.... Most Captains from Flair, Military, Turkish, Transport Canada, Lynx, 704, CJ, Porter and the PJ world.

Class before that was June 10.

Calls going out for August Class.

Re: Reasons to come to Air Canada (… or not)

I could be wrong but I think AC will not reduce flat pay duration. Rather just add 1O-15% to everyones salaries. Some folks say they will quit if they don't see improvement. But I think it's mostly all bark. Where else will they really go in Canada? Some say they want to go to the states but haven't...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Originally there were 2 classes planned for June and July. Now we will only have 3 classes for the summer. This due to number of factors... training capacity, lack of A22O's we are down 7 fins waiting for engines, reshuffle of man power for upgrades and more than expected vacation time this year The...
