Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Not sure about not getting paid while in the bunk, but the days off on layovers has changed from what I've heard. The company had to make some changes to lifestyle initiatives as too many pilots were leaving. Things have improved there significantly over the last couple of years. As for COVID-19, on...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Ridiculous statement of the year, who on earth would want to work for Emirates or Cathay in this environment. Those days are long gone!
While it may not be for everyone, there's an old saying "don't knock it till you try it." I was talking recently to a British 777 Captain from Emi...

Re: Air Canada Pay
Corporate and north of any of Air Canada's senior first officer wages flying a jet under 20T. I've been in this industry approximately 10 years. The highest paid AC FO made 302k last year without bonus or per diems. Did you beat that on a light jet? The average pilot salary was 176k last year at AC...

Re: Air Canada Pay
It's a race to the bottom and pilots are not to blame. If we want to work, we have to take the jobs available. Previously, there was an abundance of qualifued pilots in Canada. Today it is a different world and we should be demanding more. Pretty sad when a starting pilot at Jazz has to work 5 years...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Until the border opens.... Keep dreaming... Several coworkers interviewing in the states already, far from a dream. AC and TC can only lobby so much - if the states want pilots they’ll take pilots and it’s just beginning. Do these pilots have the 'legal right to live and work in the US?' From what ...

Re: Pension
Hi, I was wondering about the details of Air Canada's new hire pension plan. What is the formula to determine your pension? How many years in until you are vested? It is based on career average earnings so varies quite a bit from pilot to pilot. Having said that I have plotted a conservative career...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Hey Guys, I thought this was a thread of 'off the street' Air Canada hiring? Lets keep the AC/AT to the threads on other pages.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I thought this thread was about 'off the street' hiring for AC? I think there's a thread on the Air Transat link to argue about the AC/TS merger.
