YMMV.

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft
And how do you plan to achieve improved wages and conditions now that the strike card has been taken off the table? Management can just say no and all you can do is say oh, ok. They have already shown that they are hostile towards your group by hiring OTS for Swoop. They aren't going to give you mo...

Forums don’t bother me.. trolls (normally) don’t bother me.
I do have something against continually misleading and trying to create division for no purpose. He doesn’t have one side or the other’s interests at heart.. just himself. Nothing wrong with calling out a troll.

It has also been posted the current employees would keep the employee number and "seniority" position for vacation. Not sure if it applies to pay position, still some unknowns. ALPA ...

Ah yes. The “eat your young” mentality. Bravo.NewCommercialPilot wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 7:42 am
Most of us senior pilots don't have a preference for what you do. We're fine with our existing pay and schedules and just waiting for the 787. Good luck to you in your choices.

Re: WHY SO MUCH HATE AGAINST SWOOP??
Hold on now. Let's not re-write history to favour how you felt things went down. Step 1: WestJet declares it will set up an ULCC arm. Step 2: WJPA and WJ engaged in high level talks at determining wages for the Swoop pilots. Parity between WJ and Swoop pilots was mentioned by the WJPA. WJ leadershi...

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday
Figure 15 on page 50 says it all. Basically the FPA mode achieves the desired descent angle in still air - works most of the time when the wind is not too strong. One would have thought that FPA would be referenced to the touchdown point with GPS or IRS providing corrections. However the aircraft w...

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday
Is it just me, or did anybody notice that they started the descent 0.2 (1216) back from the FAF and were 0.3 (1824) back from the published MDA? Then wind accounted for 608' farther back from the MDA.
