Re: Pilot Hiring 2025

COMPASS test doesn't fit with Canadian skilled pilots, it does not make any sense to ask for a test from a 705 Senior FO or Captain applying to Flair. That's bullshit. One should use the test for inexperienced pilots coming from 703 or very low time in a 705. You're not BA,LH,AF,Emirates or Etihad,...

Re: Pilot Hiring 2025

We've hired many pilots without 705 experience, in some cases without multi-engine experience or high-performance aircraft experience. After many years of hiring analysis, our most successful candidates are those who come from a 705 background on a Q400, CRJ, EMB or similar. They are familiar with ...

Re: Recall of the NC

People who represent everyone at AC not just the senior captains would be a start... The MEC Chair is a 737 FO, the rest of the MEC was hired in the last 10 years and were key players in the transition from ACPA to ALPA. The 2 lead negotiators are mid-to-senior-ish seniority, everyone else is quite...

I’ll go with
95k year 1
125 year 2

85k is Porter wages. Duncan Dee said AC pilots will be the best paid pilots in Canada.

Can’t wait to see the numbers !

Re: DELTA CONTRACT 2024 = AC contract at a minimum!

And you think AC will pay anywhere near this? I think AC will pay pre bankruptcy wages if they have to. But only if forced. There must be a fair amount of OT in that 400K number. We know what the hourly wage is. ALPA E&FA has identified that AC can easily afford our adjusted 2003 rates and more. Th...

Re: DELTA CONTRACT 2024 = AC contract at a minimum!

FWIW, Was speaking with a Delta crew on a layover. The FO, on their 330, made $400 000 last year. He said his taxes were around 25%. I just couldn’t ask the skipper what he made. And you think AC will pay anywhere near this? You know what, @#$! you, scumbag. AC WILL pay! 233% raise! Or get the CEO ...

Wow....after all the bellyaching and whinging and gnashing of teeth about the old MEC, the current MEC decides to pay itself 85 hrs per month (with room to grow maybe up to 98 hrs), to align itself with the ALPA norm...because the MEC work doesn't vary month to month.... the hypocrisy is unbelievab...

They will do a phone interview initially. Then they will ask you to come to Montreal for an interview. They do not offer a flight which is ironic since all other airlines in Canada do. After the interview there is a compass test and psych test. They will also do a medical. Great things are happenin...
