Re: Letter to Dan Adamus, ALPA Canada Board President
If you would like to know, then ask your union rep or MEC chair what the position of the Canada Board is. Perhaps there is a reason they are not in the media. If you do not agree with that reason, then that is another issue entirely but I suspect since you work for Transat, you know that already.

Re: Red Pass
Yeah, I've had that too. The Red Pass is not government issued. It is issued from the respective Airport Authority so it does not qualify if the agents get picky.

Re: The TC price of breaking the approach ban, hitting a fence
That reg from the cap gen is only for general aviation. For commercial operators the RVR rules, regardless of the ground vis. The only way you can ignore the RVR is if it is fluctuating above and below limits. Or you could shoot an approach on a different runway (one without an RVR).

Re: Pilots need to learn how to file CADORS
My understanding is that Nav Can. and airports will soon be tied into the SMS system. So if you have a complaint about the door codes or misfiled notams, etc. You will simply file your company ops report and SMS should insure that it gets to the right place to be rectified.

I would absolutely tell them what is going on. No sense in lying to them...they know you overshot, they know your circling, chances are they are gong to see the vehicles, and, if they are any kind of regular fliers, some will probably notice the flaps up. Tell me, what do you have to gain by not say...

Would love to see the Riders and Bombers. Normally, I cheer for two teams in the CFL.....the Riders, and whoever is playing the bombers. I may have to make an exception this Sun. Sask. is pretty banged up right now but it doesn't matter....not only do they ALWAYS play BC tough, they hate each other...

So what good companies out there do not require any type of training bond/promisary note/contract etc.. I need names. Are there any left??? Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with bonds at all. I think that the training expense is one of the costs of doing business for the company. Even if a guy come...
