Terraquest

No new info in a while, and I'm curious with the recent job ad ... thought I'd ask how busy they are, what the rotations were like, and salary. The usual suspects.

Thanks

Looking for a room in Hamilton

G'day folks! I've been invited to join the ranks of the rich and famous in Hamilton  So I'm obviously looking for the cheapest all inclusive accommodations possible. I've been browsing Kijiji and what not, but most of the rooms out there are in student houses and what not ... and although I enj...

Re: Is it too hot for flight training?

It's all a matter of perspective I suppose ... but I've had to take a Caravan back home because we hit the published upper operational max OAT per the POH for our altitude ... +48C ... Inside the cockpit, with my watch hanging off the yoke in the relative shade measuring the temperature, from somewh...

Do you have any Aerocourse books (the book ... ahem ... you know the one) you'd be willing to part with?

PM me if you like. Looking to write my ATPL yesterday. Already have the question book and the Air Command.

Thanks! Cheers!!

Re: Buffalo Rampie!!!

Not chiming in for one side or the other, but I'm curious ... is the filming making it easier or harder to find people? TV boost making more cvs show up, or is it (what I'm assuming) making people afraid to apply?

Cheers!

Re: Get me the heck out of here

Anybody have ball park figures for pay on the 208 and length of tours. Is $8K and 2 mon in and 1 or 2 out sound feasible? Anyone find an answer for Lost Lake? I'm curious myself. I was used to the 2 month on 1 month off deal once upon a time, and kinda liked it too. Salaries are also fun to talk ab...

Re: Get me the heck out of here

Thank you! Everyone! AvCanada comes in in fine fashion as usual.

I was out of commission for a few days with a cold, and away from the net, but I'll be in touch with PM shortly!

Hope everyone had a great (sneeze free) weekend!

Re: Get me the heck out of here

Yup ... Sent in CVs through contacts on there. No dice. Been reading and searching PPrune for a while too. I'm just hitting a road block or just not searching for the right terms. Anyone out there with some word of mouth recommendations mayhaps? Any former drivers out there with ideas? 208 or otherw...

Re: Get me the heck out of here

Thanks guys, but haven't had much luck in pprune.org either. Even put a post in the African Aviation section, no dice so far.

Just can't seem to crack this egg for some odd reason. Anyone got any ideas? A good egg beater?

Get me the heck out of here

Trying to find info on getting the heck out of Dodge City and getting back into Africa or the Middle East ... yes, believe it or not I want to go back. Was out working there with a "nameless" Canadian company for a little while (close to 3 years), and since the industry here is what it is, I'm think...

Lots of good reading and big thanks for the web site links to everyone. The one remaining question I have however, is once you have the conversion in your hand, how hard is it for an un-married canadian to get into the UK for work? What about as a pilot? I hear things about being under 26 and being ...
