And as far as I’m concerned, I’m not getting money from the government: They’re just returning MY money that I’ve contributed. [/quote] I wonder. I thought your Gov't old age cheques at age 60 and 65 covered getting what you paid into the Gov't. Not this kind of payment. It has to come from somewher...

Seneca Aviation program Canceled 2020
Received a letter from Seneca today. Quote from letter: Our Program Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Seneca has made the difficult but necessary decision to suspend the Fall 2020 intake of the Honours Bachelor of Aviation Technology program for which you applied. Please know that Seneca’s most ...

Re: Am I being dramatic? Ask us this same question in a couple weeks man. Time to look at previous history on societal complacency in pandemics etc and see what went down in those times. Probably a good place to start to know how to narrow down your options. Ya we should be looking at options. Hope...

Good Topic. I was just going to put something like this out there. Its what they now call a "fluid situation". But ideas and speculation could help to understand where we all stand. I hope this thread gets some informative insight from the students now affected, students starting in Sept. and ideas ...

Re: Anyone from the sault want to state their own opinions of the school?
Funny thing though, I know a guy in the program right now, who's going to finish early... I'm sure he's the exception, and not the rule, but based on what I've read here over the last little while you'd think that would be IMPOSSIBLE! Of course, I don't think he's posting complaints on AvCanada. Mi...

Re: Anyone from the sault want to state their own opinions of the school?
I have been monitoring questions about the Sault school for 3-4 months on this site and r/flying. https://www.reddit.com/r/flying/ - I haven't visited the school as of yet but someone close to me has applied for admission and is awaiting results. They have also applied to Seneca. I have not talked t...

I'm not a Pilot but I am a dad. Does your nephew lurk on this forum? How about getting him to register here and start reading the posts. It won't take long for him to start thinking about seriously trying to find a way into aviation. I believe he would benefit greatly by reaching out here and asking...

I am fairly sure I worked at said company. I had asked TC for clarification with a very similar scenario. There rsponse was a copy of the FDTL regs highlighted " clear as mud All to often we see this kind of response from an inquiry to gov't agencies. Even if you tell the person you are asking that...

Re: Seneca Honours Bachelors of Aviation Technology program
Currently a first year at Seneca. There are approximately 100-110 first years, only 30-40 go on to graduate. That should tell you a bit about the failure rate. Courses are a flat 65% pass rate, there's no weeding out process. If you get 65+ in each course, you get to proceed to the next semester. G...

Re: Seneca Honours Bachelors of Aviation Technology program
What does good math have to do with flying an airplane? I have been led to believe that math marks in this course is the main reason for loss of students. I sure would like to know if this is the case. I plan to visit the training facility in November to verify what would be the schools policy in r...
