Wasaya "apprentice pilot" interview
Has anyone actually applied for that wasaya "apprentice pilot position' and gotten a interview? if so what kind of questions they ask? because its basically a ramp position so i dont imagine they asking anything beyond the basic HR questions

Re: Flight test before written exam ?
I mean you can, but why would you want to? Way better idea to just write the INRAT and pass it to prove your knowledge to the examiner before hand, rather than having essentially an oral INRAT exam for your flight test ground brief. I think, for one, it's been tough to actually schedule the exam, a...

I'm almost ready to write it but all TC facilities near me (within...

Re: Cold temp correction problem
It’s amazing how threads on here take on a life of their own. Here’s my last 2 cents for this discussion ... who cares about GPS altitude? The science behind it is interesting for sure, but for civil aviation, THE defacto altitude reference (for now anyway) is the properly calibrated and correctly ...

Re: FDMET & FDOPS Exam
I wrote both FDMET & FDOPS back in spring 2018, and I passed them in the first attempt with 75% Mark. I also wrote both my ATPL SARON & SAMRA exams one week after, and passed them both with around 72%, so that tells you I have some good aviation knowledge base. If you are a pilot and have recently ...

FDMET & FDOPS Exam
Has anyone written those exam recently? It’s not a hot topic so I wouldn’t be surprised if the last time you heard someone did those were years ago. Is there any self study resources available or any recommendations to study for those exams?

Re: Cold temp correction problem
I assume this is for exam purposes because operationally you will need to do most of it in your head. Remember that in an approach all altitudes are minimum altitudes and there is nothing about any altitude above that. So if you refer to the charts just add fat numbers for the procedure and quadran...

Re: Cold temp correction problem
To go full nerd: 500' AGL = 150' correction 600' AGL = 180' correction 600 - 500 = 100 180 - 150 = 30 Therefore, 0.30 foot correction per foot AGL 578' * 0.3 = 173.4' correction at MDA 173.4 + 2840' = 3013.4' temp corrected MDA @ - 50c. About 6' 8" off of the round up technique. Or, 1' 8" off using...

Cold temp correction problem
I’m practicing some cold corrections from the aim using the examples given below the chart, however the problem occurs when I try to work out the MDA straight in approach, I’ve calculated the PT correction correctly but not the MDA using the same method as the PT. Can anyone help me out and point ou...

Re: Waiting on my medical from TC - to start or not to start flight training?
always go for a class 1 medical because you need it for your commercial so why not get it now instead of later after investing so much money and finding out you cant hold a class 1. Two weeks ago the examiner who did my multi ride id have to wait a long time to get my sticker because TC is backlogge...
