Re: AC 602-008

But today? We have PDC and CPDLC that does it all digitally. We have ADS-B where ATC can see our altitude selector. Hold short? Ever hear of a stop bar? You are aware that not every airport in the country has these things? Not every airport is YYZ and not all planes have an FMS with PDC or CPDLC.

3 weeks on 3 weeks off, I know a lot of peeople that would take that job, including myself at that pay rate. Good QOL with a rotation, and I am guessing confirmed travel to and from the hubs... Can't see many guys complaining.

Re: Rise Air 705

Is it a lack of support and pilots are wasting duty time on tertiary duties? It certainly takes a lot longer to turn around at every stop when the pilots have to unload the bags from their own ATR before hopping in and getting ready to go flying again. Hire some locals or bring a swamper to load ba...

Re: LOOKING FOR COMPANY TO GET PIC TIME FOR ATPL

How did you get hired at a 705 without an ATPL? With my thousands of hours of king air PIC I’m still waiting for offer at a 705. You can get a 705 FO position without an ATPL. I just have an ATPL Frozen. What is a "frozen ATPL?" I don't believe there is such a thing in Canada. You either have one, ...

Based on your post history your resume looks fine. Go over the resume post that’s pinned on the employment forum. Drop the “profile” section. Put some education in there if you have higher education. References on the one page as well.

IIRC is a 5800 foot strip, a pretty good landing surface.

Those guys have been doing the freight between Walloston and Points for the last 10 months or so, going pretty hard. At first, we speculated that it was fuel starvation but it seems otherwise.

IFR from a Class E without a PAL or FSS

Flying from a class E zone on an IFR flight plan, This zone doesn't have a PAL to call center for clearance nor FSS but has an RCO with Edmonton FIC. I know I can get an IFR clearance relayed from FIC. My question is can I depart VFR without getting my clearance and grab the clearance in the air fro...

Took me 8 months and about 60 apps to finally land a job. I never heard back from the majority. Got about 3 PFOs and one interview.
It will take time keep trying, calling around, and maybe finding a ground job in the meantime.

I don't understand why anyone would agree to a bond in this hiring environment. Todays hiring environment? It's still garbage for low hour guys. There's a pilot shortage of ATPLs with 3000 hours, not 250-750 hour guys who got screwed over the last couple years with covid. Isn't this job ad geared t...

Not the northern drivers, they commonly cancel or do whatever it takes to help. Great pilots to share airspace with.
Up north they are great I agree. South not so much it gets annoying
