It seems this topic has come up before, but given the new information with the Jazz CPA, which one would you choose today? Let's say hypothetically you were offered both positions tomorrow. Porter pros: Better pay after year 1 Faster upgrades Expanding company (possible cs100's) Jazz pros: Possible ...

Re: Confederation College

It's 5 straight semesters. Summer semester is in the middle so it works out to just over 18 months. Sept 08 to April 2010 for me.

Re: Confederation College

Currently in my final year in the program, and things are still as GZMT says. Staying in takes a bit of work, but you shouldn't have too much trouble getting in. Good luck and hopefully we'll seeya soon!

Re: eye sight

The civil side of things has had lower minimums for a while now. You need a category 1 medical, and i believe the requirement for vision is 20/30 corrected or uncorrected, doesnt matter. Check out the TC website.

Re: Where Should I Go?Confed. Or Sault?

This is similar to the estimate I did for myself when I was looking into the UWO program a few years ago. Year 1 19,620.29 Year 2 18,068.59 Year 3 16,772.84 Year 4 15,498.09 Total 69,959.81 Last time I checked, their Katana's rented at $120/hr [over a year ago, so it's most likely gone up] I'm gues...

Because he wants to get it done quicker and cheaper and not spend 100k+ at western for something that shouldn't cost nearly that much. I dont mean to offend you, but everyone is well aware of Western's 'amazing' program. There's no need to advertise it in every single thread.

Re: Where Should I Go?Confed. Or Sault?

You don't remove the summers from your 4 year engineering degree and say you've done it in 2.75 yrs or something silly like that. BTD: It's too tough of a concept for some to understand i guess. The point I was trying to make was that confed goes right through the summer. I was not simply arriving ...

Re: Where Should I Go?Confed. Or Sault?

The Sault is a three year program, not a 4 year as some had insisted. Confed is 2 years not 18 months again has some had insisted. You don't remove the summers from your 4 year engineering degree and say you've done it in 2.75 yrs or something silly like that. I'm in first year at confed right now....

Cat 1 Renewal

What exactly do they do for your cat 1 renewal? I know there is no audiogram, but do they need to do another ECG? or is it just a quick check-up and a stamp on your medical?

thanks

Re: Recommended Float Plane schools in western canada

Just a suggestion.. but if you want to go east instead, confederation college has a great program that will take you right to your commercial licence with a float endorsement (24 hours on a 180).

I'm moving to T-bay on thursday to start Flight-Management at Confed. Not sure if its true, but I heard they prefer you to come into the program without any previous flying experience. I guess they like to start fresh rather than build on another instructors work. I'm sure a ground school course wou...
