Re: Carson YYC Metro FO

Im glad it worked out for the guy you know, I also know a guy in WJ today that never signed anything in his life (though it took him 3.5 years) to get to WJ. Yes, you are right, it may be worth the risk for the right place, but you could be burned with a bond too. I guess it all depends on your pers...

Re: Carson YYC Metro FO

Re: Evertz Microsystems

Bonds for initial and recurrents, $35,000 salary, gotta expense your own stuff like meals (not sure about hotels)

This is what I was told last summer. Maybe things have changed? There is a review from a pilot on Glassdoor and doesn’t sound too good.

ehv8oar wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:48 am Could be wrong but I believe there's a $35k bond for two years, fixed at two years. I.e you leave at 22 months you get to pay a nice $35 large to the company.
What a deal!

Re: pc-12 FO or Encore interview

The PC12 gig is a sure thing, Encore can PFO you and now you got nothing. I would say stick with the Pilatus gig, learn 2-crew SOPs and turbine ops and then if you still want the airlines, go for it (after your bond is up ofcourse) Just my opinion.

Re: Glencore

I am also interested and looking for the same information. FlightAware shows the same routes all the time (two Boeing 737-200) one seems to be Mon-Fri runs, the other Mon-Wed. It would seem like you are home on the weekends, but again not sure how many days off, bond and all that. Maybe they do rota...

Re: Morningstar

I can't speak for the commuting aspect as I don't personally commute (although I do live 2 hours away). But regarding the pairings it's a bit of a mixed bag. Our longest pairing is 4 days but they don't happen often. It's been once a month for me. The majority of the pairings are two days (well rea...
