Re: Sky regional 2.0

They already extend more offers than spots, expecting people not to show. And they still didn't manage to get 20 last week. Yikes! Overbooking their training slots. Impressive.... Maybe they can make some money of reselling their unused training slots? Sims aren't booked that far in adva...

Re: Socialized bidding

We typically run between 85-90% satisfaction scores. The satisfaction score is the number of points you get divided by the maximum number of points you could get if you were awarded everything you want. So basically, on average, you're getting 85-90% of what you bid. I'm curious for those in senior...

Re: Buttonville Gets The Final Nail In The Coffin

The 6 months heads up is really unexpected. I'm currently hangered at YKZ, called around to all nearby airports, no hangars available anywhere except Collingwood (which is a 1.5hr drive)... for ~$20k/year. We need more condos and a mall in a low density area where Buttonville is, like I need a 11th...

Aiming for the bottom

As stated, Flair plans to succeed by appealing to the "bottom" of the market place. I see risk with this strategy, hope the "bottom" are not offend by this sentiment. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/travel/news/not-every-airline-can-succeed-in-canada-s-crowded-market-flair-ceo/ar-AA1aEDFw?ocid=msedgdhp&pc...

Rumors is that AC approached Russ Payson to start up Sky Regional again and take back some E175s. Cool, Porter wages + $1.00 and pilots will come running Any carrier - new or current - that does not want to pay market wages will be facing the same pilot staffing obstacles. On an individual basis, no it was not a guarantee, promise or right however as a group, 60% of new hires with a MAXIMUM 10% turndown rate is as guaranteed as you can get. I’d love those odds for the lottery! I still don't think Jazz is going to offer any sort of compensation. What is the goal with ...

The flow program was never a promise, guarantee or right, just an opportunity that a given percentage would have access too as an employee of Jazz. When a Jazz pilot migrated to AC seniority was determined by lottery during the PIT course. I'm aware of a pilot who was interviewed, hired but due to a...

Its absolutely chaotic as best. As for policing the use of the overhead bins that would be tied to the ticket as a purchased feature and fall on the gate agent to monitor with a visible indicator for the cabin crew awareness. So no visible tag; no overhead bin privileges, straight to the luggage hol...
