Re: Any pilots moving to Toronto need a car?
BUMP! If you're interested, make me an offer. If it's reasonable I'll consider it! It's a great car in great condition. Good used car for a pilot moving to the city on a tight budget or if you have a kid looking for a firts car. It's reliable and has never let me down. Take good care of it, like I h...

Cable/Satellite vs. The Broadcast Networks
Who's side are you on? I'm getting pretty tired of all those stupid commercials on TV and radio trying to tell us how the other side is greedy and wrong. (Heck they even got our beloved "United Breaks Guitars" guy in on it!) As much as I hate to support companies like Bell and Rogers, who've proven ...

Re: Whats a good pair of sunglasses for flying?
I love my serengeti's. Very clear, sharp, scratch resistant glass lenses on them. Just not too stylish. Costco has them on sale all the time and even at regular price, they're sub $100 for the non-polarized ones. I've also read that the brown tint is best for what we do. Blocks out the blue light th...

FMS Simulator?
Guys and gals, Just starting a new job flying bigger machines than I've been accustomed to and was wondering if there is such a thing out there as a FMS simulator? During my previous training, I've played around with GPS simulators/trainers before from Bendix King etc. and I was wondering if there w...

Re: Where to buy Telex Stratus 50D in Canada?
If you can find a good Canadian retailer, go for it, it's a great headset! But if not, there are many options in the states to get it shipped from. I personally got mine from Marv Golden. Great service and a decent price. Another option is pilotshop.com, I've gotten many things from them and the ser...

Re: A hint if you're renewing your passport anytime soon
If you have tickets travel within a week, you can get your application turned around within 48 hours. In some circumstances, even quicker! After I got... well lets say MUGGED, since the real story is much longer, I was able to get my passport back within a few hours. I went in with the required for...

for any of you guys lucky enough to have a job that lands you in Paris for a day or two. Chez Robert et Louise. Small, dingy, scary looking place. It has drapes over the windows so you can't see in, it only has a small sign above the door that says Restaurant and it's in a less touristy part of town...

Looks like a conventional not T-Tail so I'm guessing CNN has it right and it's a 320.

Re: King Air 90
Nope not a 99.
it was a king air, looked exactly like the 200 i was flying but smaller and without a T-tail.
I thought it was weird too, first time I've seen the square windows on a beech other than the 99. I guess this one was never built to be pressurized.

Actually I think I saw a 90 in Baker Lake last year run by a survey company with big square windows that wasn't pressurized.

Is there anyone taking care of this runway? Anyone we can call for the runway condition?
Are there any other airports in the area?

Help Please! Longstaff Bluff, Nunavut CYUV
Got a charter request to Longstaff Bluff, Nunavut (CYUV). As far as I can tell this airport is no longer in service, it's nowhere to be found in the CFS, except in the list of abandoned aerodromes. Does anyone have any information on this airport? Has anyone been into this airport lately? Is it even...
