Re: YUL Base on E2 for DEC
Makes sense.
Is there anyone form Porter here that can provide a better estimate of reserve times?

Thanks @flyinhigh
Yes, i plan to apply for the RJP/Commuting program at the earliest.
Is there a reserve period once i am released? Will i be able to use the RJP/Commuting program during the reserve period?

YUL Base on E2 for DEC
Hello everyone,
I am considering the DEC E2 position. The posting is only for YYZ, but how long does it take before one gets YUL base?
Also, is it possible to start commuting day1 after release? Or is there a reserve period during which i will be forced to be in YYZ?
Thanks.

Re: Pilots need to learn how to file CADORS
Hi, Can i, as a pilot, file a CADORs? This is about incorrect taxiway signage that has already been reported to ATC, but no action yet.
Wonder where i can report a CADORs. All the links on the thread lead elsewhere. Maybe 15-yr old links are too old
.
Thanks.

Re: Meniscus Tear
I had a torn ACL for 8 years before I had surgery. I've never had an issue at my yearly medical. Even at the AC medical, it was a non event. I ran a couple half marathons with it torn. I've had surgery and it's now worse. Go figure. Oh. Thats sad. Just curious. Why did you undergo surgery? Did you ...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Btw does anyone know how long it takes for AC to get back to you after the interview, psychological evaluation and medical? Thanks. Depends how competitive you are, how many hours and the breakdown, post secondary education and other factors. It can be as little as a couple weeks to over a couple m...

Re: Documents required for Air Canada interview
Apparently, Air Canada also requires you to print your Transport Canada file that shows history of all your PPC's (passed or failed), and written exams grades (ppl, cpl, atpl etc). Interesting... So if you failed a ride or a written exam, you can't get in AC anymore? No, you still can. You just will ...

Re: Documents required for Air Canada interview
Just an update:
Went through the interview without the visa, and was able to check with the Pilot Recruitment Manager. I will need to produce the C1/D before i start flying with AC. So i guess i will have about 2months after the job offer.

Apparently, Air Canada also requires you to print your Transport Canada file that shows history of all your PPC's (passed or failed), and written exams grades (ppl, cpl, atpl etc). You're right. And receiving the authentication code for the TC account apparently takes ages. It's been more than a week...

Re: Documents required for Air Canada interview
Just to add to the above, I got called for the interview, and I am being asked an unexpected piece of documentation: C1/D visa (as I am a PR, and not a citizen yet) Given the long wait times in Canada for the US visa appointment, I will not be able to get it before September! I wish I had known ear...

Re: C1/D requirement for PRs
Thanks for sharing your experiences guys. 1) You will need a letter from the employer for the visa, to show the need for the visa. 2) As far as I know, the US Department if State -> through their Consulate General won’t let you get a visa in a country where you don’t reside. They might ask you to ge...

Hello everyone, I am Permanent Resident here, and I got a shock when i received my call for interview with AC last week. They want me to produce a C1/D visa for USA. It is a crew transit visa. From what I remember it was a physcological screen with hundreds of questions on a computer followed by a behavioral type interview with a few senior captains and HR and then the medical.
