Re: Porter vs AC
With less than optimal load factors porter is not making enough money to keep the first fins past heavy check. Their aircraft orders are to ensure a revolving door of new fins to replace the older ones. Having AC buy them has been Deluce’s game plan since their inception. Won’t happen. As for the en...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
You know what wasn’t honoured either? Jazz’s agreement with AC to have a certain number of pilots. Their hiring and recruiting has been a bust and they have failed in keeping their roster numbers up. AC got ticked off and looked for another regional. Jazz pilot numbers are abysmal and AC has had to ...

Re: Maybe we should work together?
Almost happened 16 years ago. Global solutions. Agreement in place but a few greedy jazz ALPA pricks f’d the whole thing. Pretty sure some are on here. Thanks to those ALPA guys the ship has sailed.flyer 1492 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 9:14 am This should have happened 30 years ago. Pilots don't realize the power in numbers they have.

Re: Sky Regional?
That’s a good thing for Porter Pilots, Sky was always known for treating their pilots well 😬😬😬 Well, it's the former pilots who have joined Porter management, not the former managers. Small exception - S.R - but he's a pilot's Chief as far as I can tell. BS. I would be careful if I were you. He has...

Re: Ten year deal
The thing is, it’s not allowed in the FOM. She will have to get that changed if ALPA wants us to wear it. We can take off the company lanyard as an option.RippleRock wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:39 am
Follow Charlene's lead. You can start by wearing your ALPA lanyard the moment you get it, if she says to.

Re: AIP is dogshit
You need to look at this CA in it's entirety and you're only looking at pay rates. This is how our TAs were sold to us by ACPA. Sitting from the cheap seats it looks like the same game plan is in play here, that is, get some stuff to pass this 50%+1. I now know what a North American contract looks ...

The negotiations committee acts on the direction of the MEC doesn’t it not? You can blame the false P4C chair for the last agreement and sell job.

Re: YVR 220 base
As for the sims, YYZ is tapped out due to the short sightedness of the previous VP of Flight Ops. YVR is the only logical place to expand. This has been approved.

Re: YVR 220 base
The A220 YVR base was supposed to be on the last bid but was cancelled last minute. With 60 fins and possibly 75, you can expect the base to open soon enough. We have that many? I thought we only had 30? Current a220 fleet size is 33 I believe. Many orders to come. So yes, YVR gonna happen…. Eventu...

One class was smaller to allow the training and checking department to catch up. There have been some that declined last minute due to vaccination status but ma...

Re: No pilot recalls until Spring 2023???
So you’re thinking by standing up and saying enough is enough that COVID and the variants will magically go away?? Holy @#$!! Why didn’t we think of this sooner! So, the concept is not get a booster then get omicron or delta and that will show them who is the boss? I get it. We also do get to die. W...

YWG and CPDLC
Question for the YWG Centre Controllers. I’ve noticed whenever I log on to CPDLC that YWG Controllers seem to prefer voice. Is it policy not to use text and use voice instead? It’s very noticeable as you fly across our country. Not criticizing, just questioning.
