Re: Does anyone know what the MEC is actually trying to get out of the ULP?
Didn’t you guys vote yes to a contract that avoided “peak leverage”? In the end, no group is better than the other

Re: Does anyone know what the MEC is actually trying to get out of the ULP?
The ULP was filed OVER 2 YEARS ago. The JAZ MEC executive and negotiating committee have been extremely patient with ACA and the CIRB recognizes this. The ACA executive has been dragging their heals on this, pissing away time the board’s mediation dates(showing up unprepared etc)and frustrating the ...

Re: Does anyone know what the MEC is actually trying to get out of the ULP?
Apparently(according to JAZ MEC legal counsel) 100% direct ownership is not required(although AC currently does own 10% of Jazz anyway). De facto control can be used to prove a common/single employer and there is CIRB precedent for this in other industries.

Re: TSB Investigation - Canadian Approach Minimums
What is the difference between a SA(Special authorization) CAT 2 and a regular Cat 2? Other than the fact that you need special authorization from TC? And you don’t need auto land or HGS for a Cat 2. You can do a Cat 2 via an airline specific PMA(pilot monitored approach) procedure. Autoland or HGS ...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
The flight attendants showed courage. I’d argue anything they get in arbitration would be close to what ac offered. Hard to get a new deal that pays less than minimum wage wage… Pilots didn’t cancel a single flight. Played it safe. Some could argue it’s smart, but I’d argue it’s cowardice. Especial...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
The LEC recall resolutions for the ACA MEC chair were driven by the pilots that thought ACA could have done better by going on strike and also figured that they would have been immune to any government/CIRB orders to return to work if they had walked. Now that it’s obvious that striking isn’t really...

Re: Does anyone know what the MEC is actually trying to get out of the ULP?
No, 42% was the original negotiated increase, we ended up with 25ish to 40%, 40% year 1 and 2 I believe, then 25 at the top. I calculated the 42% increase back when this all went down and I’d be at 233/hr now instead of the 193 I’m at How are you at 193 when the top of the MOS7 scale for this year ...

PAL AC Express has so far been from YUL and east, so what are you saying? You have evidence of them starting AC Express routes out of YVR? Or are you trolling?

Re: Semaglutides
I believe the original poster was referring to using semaglutides not for diabetes treatment but simply for weight loss management (with no comorbidities) as is quite common now. As TC hates to pigeon hole itself into any blanket policy regarding certain medications, it’s probably a roll of the dice...

Holy crap, that’s brutal. I’m not doubting the accuracy of your statement, but how did you find out those timelines? Because that’s way more information than any of us here have been able to get out of anyone at civil aviation medicine/RAMO/AMRB.

There is a roadshow by the exec, negots committee and ALPA legal next week that will answer these questions. They will visit each base. If you are a Jazz pilot I suggest you attend. If you are not, wait until the completion of the road shows next Friday and someone here will enlighten you.

Re: Time to end this circus: Claude has to go
Negative,
Only an elected officer(LEC CA/FO rep or secretary treasurer) can go to Washington to look at this stuff. And then record it and publically disseminate it? Negative again. But hey this is an anonymous forum and no one is fact checking anything so anything goes right?

Re: RECALL OF CB
The only one in YYC that would have access to this(if real) is the LEC chair/vice chair/secretary treasurer. Which one of these is your YYC spiderman? So you are now implicating one of them as sharing with you someone’s personal expenses for you to disseminate on a public forum? And then someone is ...

For the 20(made up within the last two weeks) handles that purport to “speak for the Jazz pilots” I cannot thank you enough for this very insightful poll. While you are at it, why don’t you figure out why the FO rep has not put his name on any of the YUL “LEC” comms. Mudslinging in public is a bad l...

So what if/when “those numbers” come out, people aren’t as outraged as you feel they should be and/or there still isn’t enough support to recall the chair? You seem like a very unhinged individual. What are you going to do with all that anger then?

Re: RECALL OF CB
The Canada Board is not going to do sweet f$ck all with these numbers. They are probably wondering why the hell the numbers were even sent to them. CB is the longest serving ALPA officer in Canada right now. All ALPA executive expenditures have to pass at least two levels of approval: the MEC treasu...

Re: RECALL OF CB
You said earlier you are not a rep. You have way too much knowledge of inside information to not be a rep or union officer of some type. There are internal mechanisms to deal with abuse of finances which if valid would have removed the exec which the unhappy reps could have used without going public...

Re: RECALL OF CB
It’s not public, it’s MEC business. Hawaiian airlines MEC is based there. If this is public why don’t you go find the MEC travel expenses for that MEC and distribute it to all the Hawaii pilots and see what they think? This should be handled internally first to see if meets ALPA national policy. If ...
