Re: Obama ends program that let pilots carry guns
Wow
Admittedly I may have used an insensitive term to describe a certain group that committed this act
My bad
But to then be called racist .. ignorant .. redneck .. dumbass .. by others, including a mod.
That makes the score 4 to one in my books
Pot and kettle?????

A firearm in the cockpit is just one last line of defence. We all know what a joke airport screening and ramp access can be. When the day comes that it fails and the bad guys are coming thru the reinforced door, you and your pax would be damn glad that you have it... X2 Not to be insensitive, ...bu...

Excel for my records
I keep my logbooks as record of my career, not just hours
Notes, anecdotes, pictures etc
edited to add
Used to use redbooks for day to day entries, and then transfer over to the above logbooks
Now have an app on the Iphone to replace that

I know nothing about the C-17, but the a/c that I fly definitely let me know that I am f**king up if I try to set landing flap, or reduce power .. and the Goodyears aren't hanging in the breeze.
