Discrepancy on ABC and ABC PDF - which is correct?
The online ABC states that control zones around military aerodromes can have a radius of 10 NM, while the ABC study PDF says 3 NM - quite the large discrepancy - so which is correct? For context, both documents say control zones around civil aerodromes are typically 7 NM up to 3000 ft AAE, in some o...

They likely meant that you'll hear back about whether you passed the step. It's too early for fall 23 offers to go out. They send them 4-5 months before the start.

Re: Trainee Pay
I recently got an offer for an IFR training position, and I was wondering how accurate the ~$49,000 salary that’s on the website is. I’d be taking a pretty large pay cut if I accept (I made 120k last year) and not sure how easy it would be to support my mortgage, family, etc.. can trainees work pai...

Re: OT at Nav Canada
What is meant by saying your unit is short? Not enough people to cover each sector? A normal days staffing would be 18-21 people for instance but we often only have 14-16 or less, the rest is covered by overtime but it's all voluntarily. When there isn't enough people even with overtime which is al...

It looks like people have been getting training offers for March and April 2023 at YVR and YEG throughout the past 1-2 weeks. I assume those at YYZ will start to come out soon.

Figured I’d try and revive this thread. Anyone else have any updates on where they’re at in the hiring process? Wrote the FEAST exam on the 19th of August and am waiting to hear back. From what it seems, as long as you pass one step you'll be invited to the next. When? Who knows - it all depends on...

Lots of OT from what I've read... believe me this job is my dream but even if you're getting paid $150k+, what's the point if you don't have time to enjoy it.

Do you know how many months before training commences they send offers? I'm assuming this could mean not hearing back about an offer until late 2022 or early 2023?

I got the offer today as well, congratulations! What do they tend to ask during these background checks? Is it if the details of your resume check out from every employer? Or is it other things like areas where you could improve? I find it may be difficult to get everyone on your resume to provide this, especially if it's a lot of questions they ...

Re: Post FEAST interview email - question.
Congrats! If you're able, let us know if you find out the reason for this since I'm sure no one's really heard about this unique situation and it could unlock some insights into the process or FEAST tests. I'm wondering if it's a distinction between FEAST I and II that calls for this.
