Re: Emirates or Air Canada
If you are the new first officer of Air Canada, the Emirates is a good choice for you in the next 5 or 10 years. However, if you are a senior captain, consider it carefully. Even as a new first officer I’d strongly analyze the risks and benefits of such an endeavor. Keep in mind that you’re the fir...

Re: Visiting Canada Wonderland by small airplane - CYYZ?
-YYZ you will be paying an insane landing fee, parking fee, and I think you need prior notice. -YTZ will do overnight parking and everything, call the Porter FBO for prices. It will wont be super cheap but definitely under 500 bucks I would have to guess. -CNC3 would be possible, no FBO service or c...

Re: Flat bid for Decemeber
How many planes do we have firm orders on? 28 according to the last alpa slideshow? How many do other airlines have in canada? Is hiring going to slow again? Potentially cancel pit classes? I keep hearing experienced guys are getting pfo’d. Only jazz guys are being hired until 2025. Doesn’t seem to...

Re: Dominoes...|/
If Transat fails, AC will pick up the slack and you could apply there, maybe they hire you but you should probably get rid of that chip on your shoulder before the interview. Don't you know that Transat is the greatest company to ever exist in the belle province of Quebeckistan and everyone who has...

Base is closed to new hires and internal transfer first officers. There is still some upward movement of skipper upgrades of two per bid, for how long that goes on is anyone guess however.

Re: Encore interview request
Let's clear things up. Nobody knows what the plan is for hiring or upgrades other than the November bid has zero hires, upgrades, or transfers to Toronto... a move that is unprecedented at Encore while there is a noticeable captain deficit at the company and an even bigger first officer shortage in...
