Re: Fast PFO

So I did my interview last month, and received a PFO that was dated just two weeks after my interview. I thought everything went fine. Has anyone else been PFO'd so fast and then got called back? I talked to Jennifer and she said that sounded a bit too early to receive a letter. Any info...please? ...

Part of the issues I had were computer related (i.e. a slow or non responsive light pen, or arrow keys that didn't respond). I spoke to the test givers and they watched me do it, and confirmed that there were a few "bugs" but just to do my best. I don't remember specifically, but I also had some tro...

2nd call back

I'm curious.. has anyone (other than me!) been PFO'd after a "call back interview" I was called back (8 months after I first interviewed) to re do my COG test and 2 of my psych tests. I know that I did poorly on my COG test, and that is the primary reason why I will never be an Air Canada pilot.

Actually it was a damn simple test, was like playing pong with a light pen! The psyc tests were the dumbest bloody tests I have every had to do. I did research on these types of tests and they are not designed for intial information, thye are designed for a individuals baseline not a group! Persona...

Re: AC "smaller" psych eval

i did my interview july 5th last year, and it took a long time for them to get back to me, about 9 weeks and this was only after i emailed cathy vining to respectfully inquire. the PFO said reapply in 6 months, which i believe means you passed the interview. Mmo Why do you believe that "it means yo...

Ironic.. I got a call today from Jennifer saying that "the review board wanted me to re do 3 out of 4 of the tests again".. (the cog, and the 2 shorter pshych tests)... Does this mean I did o.k. on my interview but messed up my psych and cog tests? I don't recall anything special about the psych tes...

Tks you Why is it when anyone asks a valid question all that comes up on this site is jokes? Those of you who are AC ...

My friend got the pfo letter a couple of months ago. He received a phone call this week from AC. He is starting in mid-february. Good luck! Did he not have to interview again?? Elsewhere in this thread someone implied that there was an effort "from inside" to get their friend another interivew or s...

Thanks, Y
No Sim portion (there is one for Jazz).. I wish there was one. .it would be a better way to evaluate one's abilities instead of the Cog test.. just my opinion.

Hi.. I had a similar experience.. I was called by HR and had a quick phone interview..I told them that I was not willing to relocate, but that I had been commuting (a pretty long distance, and to the U.S.) for years, and I was used to making contingency plans (i.e .going the night before etc.)..he s...

I have been called for an interview, and to be honest, I'm trying to find out some information before doing an interview. 1) What are the chances of getting ...

applying again?

I interviewed about 2 months ago. I got a "thanks for coming out" letter about a week or so ago. The letter talks about updating your application, and re applying after 6 months. Does anyone have any insights on whether or not anyone actually gets another interview or not? Also, I wonder if its 6 mo...

good test?

I agree that a sim eval is much better.. I thinkI may have messed up the COG test.. I got a "nasty gram" Please don't start saying that I'm mad at the company or anything. I accept responsibility for the fact that I didn't meet the company's standards... but I found the test a very poor instrument.....

I had heard years ago that the lantern test was called Farnsworth also..who knows! From what I've heard hardly anyone uses that one anymore.

Farnsworth test

Hello.. I vaguely recall seeing a post on here about someone having taken the Farnsworth Colour vision test during an AC medical.. (the one with the little pucks).. Does anyone know if they will use that one if necessary, or if they will accept a "pass" from Transport Canada on that test (I just did...
