Re: Delta bought some of WJ because the pilots are so cheap?
That’s false. 1 there’s no completely seniority based systems at large airlines. Think of them as seniority based socialized bidding systems. 2 there’s no uncrewed flying, depending on the parameters inputted into the system. You can tell it no open flying and it will fill all the flights. 3 letting...

Re: Having issues with Medical?
Probably a bit of an outside shot but just like pilots, physician are accountable to the college. If you have the names of the physicians and think their diagnosis is incorrect and can back it up, try a complaint through the college? For example I’m in Ontario. Here’s a link to the CPSO https://www....

Re: WestJet to Layoff 100+ Pilots
I’m sure some of the AR boomers will retire in order to prevent a junior pilot getting laid off. do they owe you something ? I don’t get this, are there no early retirements that offset the ones that stay! I plan on going by 60, 62 at the latest if I don’t get the ERP the first or second time, so I...

Re: WJ Merger Committee should he ashamed
It wouldn’t be a separate pay scale. When you go into negotiate the company has a bag of money. You negotiate where it goes. What I’m saying is no group is going to negotiate money to pilots not hired at that company over pilots already there. ok I’ll keep my 65G a year as a year 1 FO so we can pay ...

Re: WJ Merger Committee should he ashamed
That would require pilots to negotiate raises for pilots not even employed at that respective company. Do you think those groups are going to vote for raises for themselves or raises for people not even hired. Contracts are about individuals inside a broader group. People vote for themselves. Not fo...

I’m one of the senior pilots. I have zero desire to commute out west to fly a 787 and I can’t stand flying multiple time zones. I’d rather overnight in Regina than Korea.
But that’s just me.
Can’t wait to join the WJ pilot group.
Hope the ISL is fair for all!

People are inherently selfish. This contract catered to 67% of the pilot group. People didn’t vote yes because they were afraid. They voted yes because it best suited them. Happens all the time. Not necessarily. I benefit a ton from this TA going through. YOS gained back. Still voted no simply beca...

There’s no way this writer lives in the USA. Everything about that article is incorrect or embellished. I lived in the USA for 4 years and want to go back. Re: Nav Can Whisky Tango Fox over
That’s not the case in the airline world anymore. There are plenty of examples of individuals need an extra 10-20+ sessions and still keeping their job. I did seat support for someone who had over double the scheduled IPT/SIM sessions. I don’t like it but that’s the way things have gone. Wow I didn...

I think it’s precancerous from being forced to where a mask. While exercising my heart feels funny. I think it’s myocarditis from the jab. My last encounter wi...

Re: Nav Can Whisky Tango Fox over
Navcan is a giant third party gov't fat, bloated, inefficient entity. For the LAST TIME, NAVCANADA has NOTHING to do with the government. In 1996, the government sold Transport's ATC services to NAVCANADA. You sound like an uninformed airline passenger who thinks Air Canada is still owned and operat...

Re: Merger Board Order
I would have to view it as a disappointment that the ALPA Merger Policy does not apply. Instead the CIRB opted for a very minor ‘carve out’ from that policy as it applies to the single arbitrators terms of reference. An arbitration panel is more reliable than a single arbitrator. More proof that go...
