Re: Pilot Shortage

Actually no, not all conservative Canadians are Trump supporters.

Most conservative Canadians would be Democrats in the USA.

Alberta has the lowest vaccination rate in the country.

My comments refer to BC. Which has one of the highest.

Re: Take the vaccine, or lose your job - WTF?

Can you at least agree that you can disagree on the government telling us when and where we have to provide proof of vaccination. But at the same time agree its completely stupid to not get vaccinated now that it is available everywhere? Personally I dont mind having a vaccine passport to go see a ...

Re: Aviation and the 2021 Election

To sit here and pretend that low interest rates don’t inflate housing prices Or affect affordability is wild. A banker once explained it to me in simplistic terms. You want to know the average price of an average home in some area, it's simple to calculate. Take the average household income, calcul...

Re: Take the vaccine, or lose your job - WTF?

I'm vaccinated and personally think vaccine passports are bullshit. You have been carying one your whole career in aviation, just didn't realize it. When I went to Europe the first time as a child (mid 60's) my parents had to produce vaccination paperwork to prove I met the entry requirements for t...

Re: Take the vaccine, or lose your job - WTF?

It’s quite simple: pilots at most airlines who refuse to get vaccinated will be placed on unpaid leave in the coming months. Not only will it be unpaid, it will be without benefits, passes etc. They are wasting their time arguing their case here, it won’t change that reality. Most of the people her...

Re: No pilot recalls until Spring 2023???

Don't forget, this recall process puts all the power in the companies hands. Many pilots will be forced to take what's offered or defer until the next 100, and cost them money, YOS, pension etc. as there is NO bypass pay. Jr pilot assigned training before you? Too bad for you, no bypass pay.. even t...

And to this day the jr membership is still being disregarded. Vacation bybacks, Sr pilots doing 100+ a month while furloughed pilots on the street among other things. There is no unity here.

Re: ALPA files an unfair labour practice against Cargojet

What are you referring to? Either you are confused or I am. ALPA is now representing Cargojet pilots. ALPA filed suit against Cargojet. ACPA has done nothing in regards to this issue AFAIK. ACPA made a public comment about the firing and there's an internal memo stating they are helping CJ ALPA leg...

You don't know that. Reasonable accommodation does not mean unpaid LOA or constructive dismissal. Particularly for an employee group that has virtually no public contact. Based on the information I've been told, you won't be in a flight deck. China and Australia don't care about your medical exempt...

What you people don't get is that I really don't care if you are pro vaccine or not, if you use ivermectin or hydroclorcin or herbs or weed or whatever you want... Ironically, at least in BC you don't need to show anything at fast food joints. I've only been carded at restaurants and the theatre so far. Been in and out of plenty of fast food over the last while and not once been asked. Including sitting in.

Well without his talking points prepared ahead of time he doesn't know how to speak. So that's not surprising.

Only a shitty person would make such a big deal about wearing a mask to potentially protect others. Literally the EASIEST thing in the would to do next to washing your hands. And turn it into a discussion like this one. Hope I never share a flight deck with you Montano. Hopefully after Oct31 that wo...

You're an idiot. Wow this guy just joined to make this post. I must have really struck a nerve. Let me guess, you are vaccinated, you won’t go in your parents house, and you wear a mask outdoors while you walk trails with no other people in sight. The rate of new accounts all posting is quite hilar...

Gotta love when ACPA goes to bat for 23 AC pilots who got fired FOR VOTING FOR ALPA, and won't even stand up for the rest of the 600 furloughed pilots seniority bidding rights during recall. Can't let ALPA look too good, gotta get in on the headlines eh Rob G? If ALPA looks too good you might end u...

It's a position that's made available well in advance by memo, and people apply. Then crews are selected, and vetted for the job. I'm assuming including extra background checks and security clearances. It's not like bidding a pairing. It would be more similar to the way JETZ flying used to be where ...

I wear a mask because it's easy. I'm not a scientist, I have no idea how effective they are. But it's not hard to do, and if it helps even 5% then whatever. All the people trying to figure out ways to NOT wear a mask are the problem. If my cousin who has CF can wear a mask for the last year so can y...

Pilots For Change - Overview of Pilot Wages Ep#1

One of many videos in the pipeline so I've heard. I hope this helps people WAKE UP and realize we are not the NHL of airlines everyone loves to pretend we are. We have a lot of work to do. I'm up for the challenge and ready to take the fight to AC Management, are you? https://youtu.be/R_NqXerjTIU
