From what I've heard, the numbers listed a year ago are still valid ie. 39k/y, no upgrade ever, and a huge 2 year bond.

I'm unaware of the total time and experience you have in this case. If you'd have less than a 1000hrs time then definitely it's better to apply there, if you've got more than that please consider applying somewhere else.
