Re: 2012 Fire Season

4 days ago was talking to an MB "gumment" type out of Winnipeg about the incredible lack of soil moisture reserves in the south of that province. Incidental to our conversation was his remark that his field crew saw 3 single engine tankers operating out of Steinbach MB as early as March 20th. The ta...

having read the attached news info and learning there was no loss of life, I can honestly say with a conscience absolutely clear of any guilt for say "better there than here".

Couple of days ago a flying buddy told me there was a fairly major maintenance and paving project in line for the main runway in Thompson MB---this summer. Does anyone in here know if this is certain or is the story just a dead branch on the grape vine?

I believe you're right nacho. that side by side love seat alone would make it a new design... . Seats like that remind me of those crappy farm tractors and combines that some people tried to sell back in the 70/80's. Belarus was the name---- I think.

Has the construction of the "Pickyournose" a/p even been given the go ahead? I guess that would not have to be an obstacle for the super brains that make that kind of decision. With all the possible objectors out there, would think would be good idea to have the project near complete before closing ...

Anyone know a web address for Transport that lists the designated Pilot Examiners. Am looking for one that gives the IFR ride. Have been in DoT site for an hour and am totally lost or they don't have an online list.
Thanks
