Yes, Jazz, until the end of June for sure, negotiating the terms for past that.

Re: The Return to Normal?

I understand why health authorities and experts all over the world reacted the way that they did. From the first day of Infectious Disease 101 they are warned that some respiratory illness of unknown origin will one day arrive and wipe out half of society. And everything about COVID19 initially mad...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Not wearing a mask isn’t the same as murdering innocent people, like, get a grip. No, it's not like murdering someone. But if some shithead refuses to wear a mask because it hides his handsome face or whatever and because of that someone else gets sick and maybe passes that on to someone else who d...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Why are you so ready to curtail MY freedoms before you curtail yours? The odds are, you’re not going to be contributing much in the way of taxation in the next few years to pay for what has been done to protect YOU. So why don’t you help out the rest of your brethren by keeping yourself healthy and...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Don’t get me wrong, champ. I think social distancing is fine. And mask wearing too (except outside, that’s just dumb). Just the government shutdown of the economy is a non-starter anymore. We need to keep you safe and that probably means you need to look out for your own safety and don’t expect the...

Re: The Return to Normal?

Rockie, I've flown with you. I have had hours long conversations with you. I found you quite close minded and opinionated. From what I've read on here, you're no different. Continue advocating this "total-lockdown" "social distancing" insanity if you wish, but remember most Medical Professionals ar...

3 and 1/2 years, jumped in a Navajo, 4 hours training and passed a single pilot IFR PPC. That being said, I was a training pilot and current on three types prior to the downturn, not sure if that would make a difference. Not sure what 704/705 has to do with it, are you saying they go easy on the 703...

How do you know?

Like many on here, I have no idea and would take the job. "A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush" sorta thing. But I don't agree with the overall pessimistic outlook many seem to share here . Well it won't return overnight, I do suspect demand will return quicker than most people think....

Re: Government aid is comming for the airlines

60 Million? Correct me if I'm wrong but how would that have any significant effect for any airline given the burn rate? It's something, but not much. Especially given it's low interest loan, and given their acceptance criteria, with a low risk of bad debt. $60 million is the MINIMUM loan. Nope, the...

I think it is comical that anyone who has doubts about this crackdown on our society and if it is proportional to what was necessary as being "deniers" or "stupid" Well numbers are easy to interpret I'm in BC and we have had ZERO deaths to anyone under 19. It's a reach. There is not a link. Not all the kids in New York had Covid, of course some of them did, because hundreds of thousands of people have or had it, but it's not the cause. Why didn't we see this on any other parts of the world? Only New York? Read the god damn article! “A few days earlie...

How far back have they taken the layoffs? 1 year seniority - 2 years? 3 ? I heard fall of 2016... but I dont know for sure Yes late 2016 for sure but could go further back than that, we don’t have a new list. Someone could go through the bid packs and cross reference the bottom names but with three...

GH I am normally not one for crystal ball gazing, but you seem quite well informed on this. I did see a statement by the Westjet CEO that he thought Westjet might never return to its present size. On the other hand, the majority of the aviation folks here seem to think two years. Not sure, other th...
