Re: Midair near St Hubert

Am I the only one that thinks something like this is going to happen at Red Deer (YQF) very soon? Craziest training airport I've ever seen. I went there once and students were cutting off each other and other planes in the circuit, not listening to FSS "suggestions" and generally having a hard time ...

Re: Crossfit health issues?

That's a good question because I think it has a lot to do with your baseline of cardiovascular fitness. If you are sedentary, and pound out a crossfit session, you may be at higher risk for an MI. Every year you hear about the risk of activities like shoveling snow. People go outside with little to ...

It's great that it ended well for Chad.
These are the stories I like to hear about.
The detail that bothers me is the fact he ran out of fuel.

Not the first time I've seen that in Alberta (Lethbridge area - winds 50G70KT)

That tree probably saved his life! It acted as a nice way to dissipate energy in the crash.

Re: WestJet Mainline/Encore Hiring pool

Anyone having issues with applying to the mainline job ad? I'm all set to upload my resume, but ran into Question #38, asking about having interviewed at WJ or Encore in the past 12 months, yet there's no "Yes" or "No" buttons showing beneath. I kept trying to reload the page, but it made no differ...

Re: Keeping white shirts white

Hydrogen peroxide is the key. Mix it with Dawn and some baking soda for good measure and use a brush to work it into the stains. It breaks down sweat/antiperspirant stains better than anything else I've tried.

It's amazing how your G tolerance drops when doing quick transitions from +G to - and back. You certainly build a tolerance with exposure. My first few flights each season are brutal.

Yeah it is out of hand, because too many idiots are going to surplus stores and buying uniforms and medals so they can parade around and play pretend. Too many assholes are getting away with it. Enough is enough. Whether you tell elaborate lies, or dress up and talk to a reporter on Remembrance Day,...

Re: Off topic: Military service datapase?

Unfortunately all the liars and cheats out there have made many legitimate people come under scrutiny. When someone thinks you're lying when you legitimately served, you would understandably be upset. But if you're a fraud and you're telling outlandish stories, you need to be called out. It's a crim...
