IMHO that is exactly what we should be doin...

Re: 14 dead in PC-12 crash in Butte, Montana

Wow

...the wx might have been bad
...there might have been icing
...the pusher might not save your ass in every situation
...the plane might have been over-loaded
...in flight icing is very dangerous :?

Everyone stop flying because you might get hurt doing it.

Re: King Air Suicide

I imagine the latter was what was attempted - guy was going nuts and trying to get out, cabin was dumped to knock him out, but didn't get knocked out fast enough, and the guy got the door finally opened up and jumped out. regards, MFA Thats the only way I see that door being opened in flight. With ...

Re: Con Plane Goes Missing

Am breaking a very long time away from this site for good reason, all FTUs should now get hold of the local media and assure them that all your aircraft are secure, you have policies in place to prevent this {watch out for media types climbing fences and stuff like that, to "test you"} allow only o...

Re: PC-12 Engine Shut Down

how much redundency can be put in an aircraft anyways? Would it make you guys feel better if Soloy certified their TwinPac and certified it for the 12 and the 'van? Would it really make that much of a difference considering it still only has 1 transmission, gearbox, and prop? If not should they als...

Re: 17 dead in PC-12 crash in Butte, Montana. Yes, 17

CNN is claiming a Pilatus PC12 has crashed in Butte Montana with 17 dead...do they have that many seats? Well typical configuration would have 9 pax seats but you could easily fit another in there no problem to make ten, however I don't think they are certified for that anywhere. So I guess with a ...

Re: Oil rig chopper down at sea

I really feel for all those involved, BUT.
This is a bit of a what if thing.

For example what if a commuter flight goes down in lets say Lake Superior. Its going to take at least a hour to get out to any Survivors. It would most likely be a U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter.
