Re: GO RIDERS!!!

Fortunately, this is the CFL where the season is still salvageable. All we gotta do is get in the playoffs and anything can happen. If not, I'll settle for a Banjo Bowl win and a win in the Labor day classic. For the record ther Riders have a great team and I hope they get their injured players back...

Not to worry, if the cops are asked what happened they won't remember the exact details.

Re: Brett Favre

If he does come back, he'd better play at a high level or it will diminish the brilliant career he had with the Packers. As an NFL and Favre fan, I'd love to see him play. Can you imagine if he played for the Vikings or Bears and led them to over the top? Though the Packers may not want him as a sta...

Re: Transport Ca stats on pass/fail for written/flight tests

I don't see how anyone can fail any one of the exams. The questions (most often verbatim) and answers are all out there. How many out there have taken an Aerocourse just prior to writing, say your SAMRA, SARON, or instrument exam. It makes it pretty simple when all you have to do is memorize answers...

Re: Death and Taxes.

Hey Cat, as you often describe in your rants or speeches, depending on who you ask, you have undisputable proof that the government has agreed to pay you 250K. So instead of bending over like the upstanding citizen you are, why not sic the collection agency on the govt. dept. that you say owes you m...

Re: Oops. Sorry about that 27 years in jail.

The most compelling argument that those opposed to capital punishment use. How many people have been wrongly executed? I guess we will never know for sure. Don't get me wrong, if someone is proven guilty by the same means (DNA), by all means, inject, shoot, or hang the SOB

Re: Two native girls freezing to death. The rest of us to blame?

No, I don't support the existence of reserves because they are a system of apartheid ( I have read where you stated this and I agree) but abolishing them is not that simple. I don't think the "Indian Industry" would allow that to happen since that would dry up their gravy train. Unfortunately, Cat, ...

Re: Two native girls freezing to death. The rest of us to blame?

This case is a particularly horrifying example of neglect on reserves. Commentary in the ensuing weeks, however, touched on everything but the staggering negligence that led to the deaths of these children. More self-esteem and less poverty would solve the problem, some suggested, while others wonde...

Re: Two native girls freezing to death. The rest of us to blame?

First of all I am native but in this case there is no one to blame but the father himself. No blame to "whitey" or the government. We are quick to spread blame but sooner or later (preferably sooner) we have to step up and take responsibility for our own lives and the futures of our children. My fat...

A couple of corrections. No. 5 Lacrosse was invented by Canadians.? I thought it was invented by the native people. As for number 17 that HBC "owned" 10% of the land.Who "sold" it to them? I think "stole" or "pillaged" would be a better term

Re: Lawyer claimed accident victims shared blame

A somewhat similar case occured in Wpg just recently. Two guys beat the crap out of a guy who was just walking home from work. A good samaritan was passing by and called 911 but didn't get out of her car for fear of being jumped as well. While she was waiting for the cops a car driving by ran over t...

Beautiful baby girl!!! If this is your first then be careful of the trap I fell into. We'll try just one more time to have that son. Well, five daughters later I finally gave up. Don't get me wrong, I love each of my girls to death and wouldn't trade them for the world but the shotgun shells start t...
