Re: Late 2022 ATPL issue time
Unfortunately the answer is it depends where you drop off the application. I’m out in Toronto and dropped it off at the Yonge street office. I had my sticker in 35 days. My friends back home at the YEG and YYC office.. not so lucky, 5+ months. When did you send it if you don't mind me asking. I'm i...

Re: New Hires
Anyone interviewed around June 22nd heard back about sim eval dates yet? I interviewed on the 14th June. I got an email. Didn’t have to do a sim eval. Waiting on the GS date. Congrats! I just applied last week with 1500TT (well 1465TT) and over 300 multi-turbine. How long from applying to getting a...

Re: Hiring DEC's
That would depend on a couple things. If you were American then absolutely you could live in Montreal. If you were Canadian on a green card then I believe you would be required to live in the US until you got citizenship, then you could live wherever you want. So the answer is it depends. Oh ok. Go...

Re: Hiring DEC's
Seriously?? Take a look at just about any major airline in the US. Let’s look at Southwest. A LCC. They fly the 737 domestically. Here are their Captain pay scales. 737 12 274 11 271 10 268 9 265 8 262 7 259 6 256 5 253 4 250 3 247 2 244 1 241 I was under the impression that you were talking about ...

Re: Hiring DEC's
I was under the impression that you were talking about Canadian airlines. Ya I'm aware the states are far more ahead pay-wise. Out of curiosity, could a pilot residing in Montreal work for an American airline? You should know by now that whenever Avcanada talks about wages it is purely in USD as th...

Re: Hiring DEC's
This is why the Canadian industry is so far behind. You are correct that AC and WJ are not industry standard. They are well BELOW industry standard. Have a look around. Airlines are paying far more than AC or WJ and have better working conditions. Aim higher people!! Could you share some examples o...

Re: Hiring DEC's
Flair is, or will soon be, the third-largest airline in Canada. It's time to pay an industry standard wage and benefits. True - but AC/WJ are not industry standard. They have been around for a long time and any expectation to meet those wages is ridiculous. But not doubt a good raise is in order! T...

A general inquire, no sarcasm intended.

Re: #EncoreFlowMoraleLow
:smt014 Anyone looking to come to Encore right now, give this topic a good read. If you have a 1000 hours just wait it out till you get 1500. Apply to WJ or Swoop directly then. Its all max duty days with low pay here. Lots of experienced guys are leaving. Flow is non existent. Avg 8-10 spots a mon...

Re: Flair Hiring B737 FO's
I posted this question in an older thread. Should have used this one! Are there plans to look at a YWG base and expand service out of YWG at any time in the future? Hey, i live in the montreal region. Yow is not too far, but are the plans for YUL base confirmed? Would it be something possibility di...
