Swissair crash may not have been an accident: ex-RCMP
"If Canada can't follow through on 229 potential homicides, then you know, what happens when there's only one?" he said.
I think the implications are big on this one.

Re: Gun question: smallest, legal gun allowed in Canada?
non-restricted is 470 and 660mm Doc, which is 18" and 26". It's actually a little more complicated than that. (Or more simple, depending on how you look at it.) Handguns are restricted. The definition of a handgun is in the CCC, and I won't try to repeat it from memory, but essentially the criteria...

Re: Gun question: smallest, legal gun allowed in Canada?
Just curious, what is the smalled sized legal gun we may own (allowed by the Queen/Crown, our ruler) here in Canada? Many of us live in large cities and may run into a problem with small mammals (under 250lbs in size). Links are appreciated. In Canada I think you would be better off using other sou...

Re: How do I get a gun?
Just a little update. I went down to the local gun shop and the guy there gave me the phone number of someone who teaches a firearms safety course. Apparently these things are going on all the time here. So I called up the dude that teaches the course and will be probably attending one next month. ...

Once you get the course info at the gun store, buy the course book and study it before attending the course.
Good Luck and have fun.

Re: American Financial Woes.... and the GST
January 2008 GST reduced to 5% "I know economists will say that we can run a small deficit, but the problem is once you cross that line, as we see in the United States, nothing stops deficits from getting larger and larger and spiralling out of control, and we want to avoid the kind of government, h...

Do yourself a favour and get some help..... Why? He's not the one who's so paranoid that he can't sleep at night unless the government is keeping tabs on what all his neighbors are doing. So you are saying it is ok to lower ourselves to the lowest common denominator in our advocacy of firearms beca...

Re: Harper shows Obama what a spine is
Yep, what's not to like? Stephen Harper shows true leadership and tells Tunisia and Egypt to look elsewhere for their cash cows because Canada says NO to more funding. This was after he was the only one of the G8 to stand beside Israel and also their asinine plan to back Obama's stupid ass return t...

Re: Progressive Parents Raise Genderless Baby
LOL, some of the responses on here remind me of what people used to say about "free" schools like Sundance Elementary in the 70's. "Bah!! these kids will pick their nose all day at school and be left behind when they have to go to a real school!!" or "These kids are too young to make these kind of c...

Re: Canada 1, USA 0 court upholds extradition . . .
Maybe I am missing something here but something doesn't seem to sit right here. If the Khadrs are alledged to have conspired in terrorist activities against the United States and her allies then Canada should extradite these guys. Then let the US court system deal with it. If they are innocent then...

Re: AvCanada "Foe" List
Why can't people just ignore the posts they do not like? If someone attacks you personally do not respond to them. Simple!!! If your above high school age this should not be too difficult. For some reason some people just cannot resist the urge to respond when they get personally attacked. Their ego...

Re: J.Crew Ad Showing Boy With Pink Nail Polish
kids do need their fathers. Do you think it is better for the child if the father stays and is abusive and/or mutilates the child? In my situation/family, there is a severe problem with disappearing dads/deadbeat dads but I will never put nailpolish on the little boys. I wish the fathers would come...

I don't know... the Scots wear skirts (kilts) and we don't question their gender identity. Maybe we should have a poll to see how many male pilots wear nail polish on their toes.

Re: x/yz
Sorry, first we establish that x/(yz) = (xy)/z does not hold true for all values of x, y and z. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=(x%2Fy)*z+%3D+x%2F(y*z) Then, given x/yz, we evaluate both multiplication and division at the same priority, left to right. Meaning x/yz = (x/y)z. Could you elaborate...
