Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
Thank you for a job almost well done. Names. Many people want the names of those who were behind this distasteful resolution. Some are obvious from the chats. Are meeting minutes available? They held an anonymous survey of the entire membership. If you want to know how people really feel let them s...

Re: Do not set the bar low again
To sum up views above: - Jazz isn't an airline - The US model of capacity purchase agreements (CPAs) is completely different and they never whipsawed regionals off each down there. They simply got good wages by saying Yes to everything - Say "Yes" to save Jazz from poor management of allowing their ...

Re: Negotiations
I just want to make sure I understand the logic here:
You need to say "Yes" because the management at Air Canada is so incompetent that you need to take subpar pay to "save" your airline?

Re: Be Ready
Aerobod, You didn't answer the question You clearly stated in 2015 that Southwest pilots need to take concessions for the airline to survive The pilots did not. In fact, their contract is eons ahead of anything in Canada with more gains on the horizon Their company lost nearly a billion dollars in a...

The contract at AC opens this year and with the days of the old guard dragging down a global airline below the depths of ULCCs, the pay & QOL will inevitably go up

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
First off. Thank you Gary for being the tie break to let the pilot group vote. I hoped you would be the MEC chair that would have the foresight to see that this type of decision belongs to the group and not the MEC. It could not have been an easy decision, good on you. Secondly, I'm a yes vote. I a...

Re: Tell Parliament Now
The point is to keep Canadian pilots in Canadian flight decks. How can we see better wages and working conditions in Canada if the employers have a cheap get out of paying a pilot what he/she’s worth card? Our American counterparts don’t stand for this .. evident by the campaign against sponsoring ...

Thankfully 80% of the voters weren't gullible terminal 'yes' voters.
Too many yes votes in the past have done permanent damage to this industry

We managed to sign a 10 yrs deal before a pilot shortage & historic global airline growth
Then took permanent concessions during said 10 yrs deal
And nearly took more concessions during a historic labour shortage

There are PERMANENT scope & training concessions here. AC pilots are a joke when we compare to any global carrier. The company has a strong case for giving the pilots another 10% paycut to fly the exact airplane they are already fly...
