What about a company (604) giving pilots days off while on the road….mid trip. Ie: sitting in Scottsdale for 5 days. Legal? Common? Frowned upon? Can’t find any regs on this. Which makes me believe it’s ‘legal’ just not desirable to the pilot. Thoughts???

As per the CARs, can an operator give flight crew days off while on the road away from base? Assuming under 604 regs.
